when I buy this faucet do I need to buy additional items to replace my old kitchen faucet . I saw some recommendation from home depot site.

Can you tell me width of deck plate. I have a sink with a lip so some deck plates/faucets are to wide.

Does the hose really only extend 12 inches? Can it be made longer?

Can the handle be adjusted forward so that it does not hit the rear backsplash? After installation, I cannot turn the water all the way hot because it is too close to the backsplash.

Something may not be right with your faucet or installation as I have no noise when the faucet turns off and on.
