New Cabinets. New Kitchen.
New cabinets can enhance your kitchen’s appearance, add value to your home and improve how your kitchen functions. Let us help you transform your kitchen into a stylish, efficient and organized multi-functional space.
How do I measure my kitchen for cabinets?
Kitchen cabinet installation requires precise measurements. Our professional installers will take these measurements during your in-home site analysis so you don’t have to. Part of the value of working with The Home Depot is that we measure and take pictures of your space to give our designers the information they need. Our measurements are guaranteed to ensure your project is completed efficiently and correctly.
How high should kitchen cabinets be?
In most cases, the height of upper cabinets is based on the height of your ceiling, leaving 18 to 20 inches above the countertop or lower cabinets. This allows plenty of space for your backsplash and small appliances. However, this could vary based on your unique space and style needs.
What other rooms can I have cabinets installed in?
We can install new cabinets in your kitchen, bathroom, laundry room, or anywhere you need them
How long does it take to have new cabinets installed?
Regardless of whether your cabinets are stock or custom, the cabinet installation process typically takes about a week to complete. However, if you order custom or semi-custom cabinets the process will take longer in order for your new cabinets to be manufactured and delivered to you, usually within a 4 to 12-week timespan.
Do I need to have toe-kicks installed with my cabinets?
The toe-kick area at the bottom of base cabinets creates space and comfort for you as you stand at your counters. This toe space allows a spot for your feet to rest under the cabinet as opposed to standing in front of the cabinet as you work. Toe kick trim conceals the front of the base cabinets in this area, giving a polished look to the installation.
What are filler strips?
Filler strips are pieces of wood used to fill spaces between cabinets or to scribe to walls that are not plumb (not 90 degrees vertical). The strips help ensure your cabinets fit their space perfectly and can open properly. They should match the wood type and finish of your cabinet for a clean look. Fillers are always included in a cabinet installation job to provide you with a functional, working kitchen.
How do I take care of my new cabinets after they’ve been installed?
Your maintenance needs will vary based on the material of your cabinets. To learn how to best clean and take care of your new cabinets, we recommend you reference the manufacturer’s maintenance instructions.
