Ordering custom blinds from Home Depot in Soquel is a pain - there is almost never anyone at the blinds dept to help you (and if they are there, they are with another customer). We finally managed to order a large top down/bottom up blind and paid $100 extra to get the "Smart Fit" version (without visible wires). The box came, and then the installer (who was great). Sadly, the blind was not a Smart Fit. He installed it for us anyway, and said he would contact Home Depot to let them know we got the wrong blind. It took weeks of follow-up, and we finally settled for a refund of the extra cost we had paid. Trying to get the correct blind sent would have been too hard for the Home Depot people we dealt with. So now we have a blind that was not the one we wanted. Summary: the installation sub-contractor was top-notch. Too bad Home Depot was not.

We ordered our windows July 6, 2013. They came with the wrong grids. They installed them and said they would replace the grids. When they came the second time, the grids were still wrong. It is now November 13, 2013, more than 4 months later and we have not heard from anyone about when their mistake will be fixed :/
