This whole experience was terrible. Last august I ordered window coverings for 5 rooms. It took almost 7 months for the project to be complete. It started out wrong when I was misled by the Home Depot sales associate who signed me up for the wrong program. Last august I went to my local Home Depot and selected the window coverings that I liked. The sales associate told me that somebody would come out and show me samples and measure and it would cost $50. The $50 would be applied to the project. Instead I was signed up for a different program. I went ahead with it because I really wanted to get this done. When the decorator came out she told me that she couldn?t order the window coverings I had selected at Home Depot. The ones she had were significantly more expensive but again I really wanted to get it done so I went ahead with it. I was told by the decorator who came to the home that it would take 4 weeks, 8 weeks tops. I was leaving the country for an extended vacation in 10-12 weeks and the window coverings were not done until I was out of the country. Well over 8 weeks. When they were finally installed a valance was missing. Then it took weeks to get a valance. Meanwhile one of the blinds didn?t work. Again weeks to replace that blind. The 3 window coverings in the main bath are too long so there are creases at the bottom. The installer told me that they could be shortened but they would just stretch out again due to the nature of the material. This seems like something that should have been explained before I ordered them. The installers were very nice and professional so I?m not complaining about them. But everything else was unacceptable.
