Started install a little later than planned, but crew stayed with it until early evening. Very happy with the results and with effort put forth by the installation crew. Last windows received same care and attention to detail that the first windows received.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can replacing my windows lower my heating and cooling costs?

New window upgrades and replacements will always lower your heating and cooling costs. Modern high-quality windows feature thick, insulated glass, making them more energy efficient than older ones made with single-pane glass. Our McLean County Home Depot contractors can show you a variety of ENERGY STAR®-qualified window glass options designed to help save you money while protecting the environment.

What is the difference between aluminum, vinyl, and wood windows?

Aluminum window frames combine contemporary style with the ability to handle extreme temperatures. Vinyl window frames typically contain PVC, and combine water resistance, easy maintenance, and ultraviolet protection against the sun. Wooden window frames will not stick due to contraction and expansion. However, wood is harder to maintain, with susceptibility to both rot and weathering.

What happens during my free in-home consultation for window replacement?

During your free window replacement in-home consultation, a window installation specialist from The Home Depot will gather professional measurements, show you product samples from industry-leading brands, and quote your individual project. We'll also calculate your potential energy savings, including the increased home value you can expect from your new windows. The specialist will also help you envision different options in your home with our innovative 3D digital design tool.

How can I prepare for an in-home consultation with The Home Depot?

Before your in-home window installation consultation, please secure your pets while making the area around your windows clean and accessible so we can take accurate measurements.

Where can I buy replacement windows?
