The installation of my basement windows the first time was of very low quality. One window was placed crooked in the opening. The second window had a loud noise when opening. On the third window, no insulation was used on top. I had to put a sock in their temporarily to stop the draft. The molding used started to lift up as soon as the contractor left. Also found out the wrong installation screws where used in the wrong location on the windows. I called the service number and asked for an inspector. The inspector agreed with my assessment and had workers out their that day to re-install all my windows. They look great. The installers worked hard to get the windows looking great and addressed any concern I had. *** On 2 of the 3 windows the sashes are warped so the windows need replaced and I need plugs for the screw hole locations. Still waiting to hear from Home Depot on when this work will be completed.

I am very fortunate that HD was very cooperative and easy to work with with the whole process. The HD salesperson (Shane) was very helpful and professional. He showed us several different options for windows and provided us a great price which was more reasonable than other big box stores and other local window businesses. The installers were professional and courteous. The installers did a fine job with the windows. I have been ripped off in the past from other home improvement companies and I now watch the workers like a hawk. The installers did not mind that I watched them work and would advise me of what they were doing. I would recommend HD to friends and family. The email notices from HD advising me of the progress of the whole process was helpful and having HD "go to" person was great. The windows look great and seem to be working as promised, but it has only been several weeks since the installation. Here in Columbus, Ohio it has been in the teens with snow and the windows have been doing just fine, hope it continues for the next 20 years, I cannot afford this trip again!!!!!
