What do I need for my teen's college dorm?
Come see us for your dorm essentials. Use storage containers or moving boxes to transport your belongings, and be ready for residual dirt with cleaning supplies and disinfecting wipes. Bring spackling to fill old nail holes and Command adhesive hooks to hang string lights. Make the room your own with area rugs and wall decals. Power strips and extension cords let you place lamps, microwaves, and mini refrigerators where you need them. If you didn't get a new school backpack yet, we've got those, too. Be prepared to head to college with useful products from your local Home Depot.
What do I do to prepare my home for scorching summer temps?
Be confident your home is ready for relentless summer heat by repairing or replacing faulty parts of your hardscaping. If moisture gets in the cracks, you might be dealing with mold. Check cinder blocks and bricks for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from water damage. On the outside of your home, inspect metal roofing or roof shingles for damage that can let water leak in. Keep gutters functional and clear to prevent water overflow from going beneath your shingles when storms arrive. Lastly, vinyl siding and chimney caps should be swapped out if they're in poor condition.
What kinds of moving boxes do you carry?
Pick up a mix of moving boxes to make moving and storage easier. We've got the sizes you want, including specialty ones like TV and wardrobe boxes. Cushion any and all items with bubble cushion and moving blankets to ensure your belongings make it to your next location safely. Look into our rental moving trucks, too, and take care of your DIY move needs in one place.
Do I need a generator?
Restore electricity in your home even after severe weather takes it out. We've got the options you need when searching for a generator for sale. Inverter generators are cleaner and quieter than traditional portable generators. They adjust to whatever power load is requested. This means they'll make less noise in times of lesser demand. When exploring different generators, keep in mind that portable generators cost less and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're louder and heavier. Always run your generators outdoors, away from windows and doors, for safety purposes.
Do you have wired or wireless doorbell cameras?
Enjoy peace of mind, safety, and privacy with a wired or wireless doorbell camera. Stop peeking through a window or peephole when you can watch human or animal visitors in real time. Some doorbell cams even let you chat remotely via your phone, a useful interaction to scare off potential porch pirates or talk to delivery people. Many cameras integrate with your smart home app or hub to give you easy and flexible accessibility. Choose to save video clips for future reference and worry less with more control.
What's the project at the September Home Depot Kids Workshop?
Head to our Kids Workshop from 9–noon on 9/5/26. Give your children a taste of the joy of building with this cute pint-sized school bus organizer. Assembling this useful organizer is a great way to encourage listening abilities, fine motor skills, and creativity. Team up with your little ones to make this fun craft while supplies last.
