What do I do before a blizzard?
Prepare plumbing with spigot covers and pipe insulation. Ensure you've got food and can openers, drinking water, flashlights and batteries, a weather radio, medications, and buckets. Ice melt or rock salt, a snow blower and snow shovel, a heated jacket and gloves, and a sled help you deal with slippery hazards and enjoy the snowfall.
Do I need a generator?
Having a generator means you're prepared year-round for whatever circumstances Mother Nature throws at you. Whether dealing with hurricanes, tornados, blizzards, severe thunderstorms, or strong winds, a portable generator lets you enjoy electricity after the elements take it out. When exploring different generators for sale, keep in mind that portable generators cost less and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're louder and heavier. For safety purposes, always run your generators outdoors, away from windows and doors.
What are the benefits of doorbell cameras?
Enjoy privacy, safety, and peace of mind with a wired or wireless doorbell camera. Stop peeking through a peephole or window when you can see animal or human visitors in real time. Some doorbell cams even let you talk to whoever is on your doorstep via your phone, a useful interaction for delivery people or to scare off wannabe porch pirates. Most cameras integrate with your smart home app or hub to give you easy accessibility. Save video clips for future reference as it suits you.
