What college dorm essentials should I get?
Come see us for your college dorm essentials. Bring a tub of spackling to fill old nail holes and Command adhesive hooks to hang wall art and string lights. Make the room your own with wall decals and area rugs. Extension cords and power strips let you place lamps, microwaves, and mini fridges where you need them. If you didn't get a new bookbag yet, we've got those, too. Be prepared to head to college with useful products from your local Home Depot.
How can I prepare my home for summer temperatures?
Make certain your home is equipped for relentless summer weather by replacing or repairing faulty parts of your hardscaping and home. Check cinder blocks and bricks for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from missing pieces. If water gets inside the cracks, you could be in for a headache. On the exterior of your home, examine roof shingles or metal roofs for damage that may let water come in. Keep gutters fully functional to keep rain overflow from entering your home when storms arrive. Lastly, chimney caps and vinyl siding should be swapped out if they're in poor condition.
What types of moving boxes do you have?
Make your move easier by picking up an assortment of moving boxes. We've got the sizes you're looking for, including specialty ones like wardrobe and TV boxes. Cushion any and all items with bubble cushion and moving blankets to ensure your belongings make it safely. Don't forget to check out our rental moving trucks if you need those, too.
Is it good to have a generator at home?
Restore power in your home even after severe storms take it out. We've got the options you need when searching for a generator for sale. Inverter generators are cleaner and quieter than traditional portable generators. They'll adjust to the required load, making more noise when they create more power. When browsing generators, keep in mind that portable generators are more affordable and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're louder and heavier. For safety purposes, always run your generators outdoors, away from windows and doors.
What benefits do doorbell cameras have?
Enjoy peace of mind, privacy, and safety with a wired or wireless doorbell camera. No more peeking through a nearby window when you can view human or animal visitors in real time. Some doorbell cams even let you speak to whoever is at the door via your phone, a useful interaction to scare off potential porch pirates or talk to delivery people. Most cameras integrate with your smart home hub or app to give you easy accessibility. Choose to save video clips for future reference and worry less with more control.
What's the project at The Home Depot Kids Workshop this month?
Head to our Kids Workshop from 9–noon on 8/1/26. Introduce your children to the joys of building with this cute pint-sized rocket game. Building this small wooden spaceship is a great way to encourage fine motor skills, listening abilities, and creativity. Team up with your little ones to make this quick craft while supplies last. Remember to leave some time to play with others!
