Frequently Asked Questions About Your Store

What's part of The Home Depot Father's Day Sale?

This June, find Father's Day gifts that fit his interests. Check out the savings in-store and online at our Father’s Day Sale, and get great deals on everything from patio furniture and tool storage to generators and riding lawn mowers. We've also got up to 40% off Milwaukee tools. These bargains run from June 4–24 only, so shop fast.

How can I prep my home for scorching summer temps?

Be certain your home is equipped for relentless summer weather by repairing or replacing faulty components of your hardscaping. If water gets inside the cracks, you could be dealing with damage. Check cinder blocks and bricks for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from water damage and missing pieces. On the exterior of your home, examine metal roofs or roof shingles for damage or rust that might let water come in. Keep gutters fully functional to keep rain overflow from backing up into your home when storms arrive. Lastly, vinyl siding and chimney caps should be swapped out if they're in poor condition.

Do you offer moving boxes?

Pick up a mix of moving boxes to make storage and moving easier. We've got the sizes you're looking for, including specialty ones like TV and wardrobe boxes. Cushion any and all items with bubble cushion and moving blankets to ensure your belongings make it safely. Look into our rental moving trucks, too, and take care of your DIY move needs in one place.

Should I get a portable generator or an inverter generator?

Enjoy power in your home even after severe storms and wind take it out. We've got the options you need when searching for a generator for sale. Inverter generators are cleaner and quieter than traditional portable generators. They'll adjust to the required load, making less noise when they create less power. When searching for generators, keep in mind that portable generators cost less and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're louder and heavier. Always run your generators outdoors, away from windows and doors, for safety purposes.

Why should I get a doorbell camera?

Enjoy privacy, safety, and peace of mind with a wired or wireless doorbell camera. No more peeking through a window or peephole when you can see animal or human visitors in real time. Some doorbell cameras even let you talk to whoever is on your doorstep via your phone, a useful interaction for delivery people or to scare off wannabe porch pirates. Many cameras integrate with your smart home hub or app to give you easy accessibility. Choose to save video clips for future reference and worry less with more control.

What's the project at The Home Depot Kids Workshop in July 2026?

Don't miss our Kids Workshop to encourage future craftspeople and builders! Give your children a taste of the joy of building with this go-kart toy. Constructing a small wooden toy with wheels is a great way to hone creativity, fine motor skills, and listening abilities. This fun kids' project is happening on the Fourth of July, from 9 a.m. to noon or while supplies last.
