Frequently Asked Questions About Your Store

Is there a sale on shelves and storage bins?

It's time to save during our Garage Storage Sale. Find great deals on storage bins to group your belongings, then stack them on new garage shelves. Neaten your tools within tool chests and keep your tools and treasures hidden from prying eyes with sturdy garage cabinets. Save up to 15% off select garage tool storage solutions and 20% off select storage solutions. These bargains run in-store and online from June 22nd through August 18th, 2026, only, so be sure to shop before they're gone.

Where can I buy back-to-school supplies for my dorm?

We've got your dorm essentials. Use storage containers or moving boxes to transport your belongings, and be ready for residual dirt with disinfecting wipes and cleaning supplies. Bring spackle to fill old nail holes and Command adhesive hooks to hang string lights and wall art. Make the room your own with area rugs and wall decals. Power strips and extension cords let you place lamps, microwaves, and mini fridges where you need them. If you didn't get a new backpack yet, we've got those, too. Be prepared to head to college with useful products from your local Home Depot.

How can I prepare my home for summer?

Make certain your home is set for summer temperatures by replacing faulty parts of your home and hardscaping. Check cinder blocks and brick for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from water damage. If moisture gets inside the cracks, you could be in for a headache. On your house's exterior, examine roof shingles or metal roofing for damage that may let water in. Keep gutters clear and functional to prevent water overflow from seeping beneath your shingles when storms arrive. Lastly, chimney caps and vinyl siding should be swapped out if they're badly weathered.

What's your selection of moving boxes like?

Make storage or moving easier by picking up an assortment of moving boxes. We've got the sizes you've been searching for, including specialty ones like wardrobe and TV boxes. Cushion your items with bubble cushion and moving blankets to ensure your belongings make it to your next location safely. Don't forget to check out our rental moving trucks if you need those, too.

Is it good to have a generator at home?

Having a generator means you're prepared year-round for whatever circumstances Mother Nature throws at you. Whether dealing with severe thunderstorms or strong winds, a portable generator lets you enjoy electricity after the elements take it out. When searching for generators for sale, don't forget that inverter generators cost more than portable generators, but they're also quieter and cleaner. For safety purposes, always run your generators outside, away from windows and doors.

Does The Home Depot sell doorbell cameras?

Enjoy peace of mind, safety, and privacy with a wired or wireless doorbell camera. Stop peeking through a nearby window when you can see animal or human visitors in real time. Some doorbell cams even let you speak to whoever is at the door via your phone, a useful interaction to scare off would-be porch pirates or talk to delivery people. Most cameras integrate with your smart home hub or app to give you easy and flexible accessibility. Save video clips for future reference as needed.

Which project is featured at the free Kids Workshop?

Stop by our Kids Workshop to encourage future craftspeople and builders! Introduce your children to the joys of building with this school bus organizer. Constructing an art supply organizer is a great way to exercise fine motor skills, creativity, and listening abilities. This cute kids' project is happening on September 5th, from 9 a.m. to noon or while supplies last.

Careful buying appliances here
We purchased a washer and dryer from the durango Home Depot, and they were improperly installed from the start. Since then, we’ve been cancelled on twice in a row for the follow-up service that was supposed to fix the bad install. What we’ve learned is that this Home Depot relies on delivery crews from Albuquerque—nearly four hours away—so if anything goes wrong, customers in Durango are essentially left without support. Now we’re stuck waiting for Home Depot to come back and remove their own incorrectly installed appliances, and they are refusing to release our money until they can eventually schedule a pickup. In other words, customers are expected to pay for Home Depot’s mistakes, while we continue dealing with the fallout of their poor service and lack of accountability. Dryer vent never connected, hoses all zipped together and twisted up just thrown on top of the machine. Draining errors from washer for obvious reasons and venting errors from the dryer because it wasn't even connected. What a joke.

    Caveat Emptor
Waited two weeks to pick up a mobile workbench. Drove 2 1/2 hours to pick it up. It was boxed up... foolishly I didn't ask them to unbox it. Drove home 2 1/2 hours and unboxed it. One corner was smashed in...

I love this Home Depot. I also am the biggest fan of ACE but sometimes the lil guys don't have what you need. If I can't find it at ACE, this Home Depot is my PLACE.
