What do I need for my dorm?
We've got your college dorm essentials. Utilize our moving boxes or storage containers to transport your belongings, and be ready for residual dirt with disinfecting wipes and cleaning supplies. Bring a tub of spackle to fill old nail holes and Command adhesive hooks to hang string lights. Make the room your own with area rugs and wall decals. Power strips and extension cords let you place lamps, microwaves, and mini refrigerators where you need them. If you didn't get a new backpack yet, we've got those, too. Be prepared to head to college with useful products from your local Home Depot.
What do I do to prepare my home for scorching summer temps?
Be certain your home is equipped for relentless summer weather by replacing or repairing faulty parts of your home. If water gets inside the cracks, you might be dealing with damage. Check brick and cinder blocks for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from water damage and missing pieces. On your home's exterior, inspect shingles or metal roofs for damage or rust that may let water in. Keep gutters clear of debris to prevent water overflow from seeping beneath your shingles when storms arrive. Lastly, vinyl siding and chimney caps should be changed out if they're badly weathered.
What's your selection of moving boxes like?
Make your move easier by picking up an assortment of moving boxes. We've got the sizes you've been looking for, including specialty ones like wardrobe and TV boxes. Cushion your items with bubble cushion and moving blankets to ensure your belongings make it safely. Don't forget to check out our rental moving trucks if you need those as well.
Should I get a portable generator or an inverter generator?
Having a generator means you're prepared year-round for any circumstances Mother Nature throws at you. Whether dealing with severe thunderstorms or tornados, a portable generator lets you enjoy power when the elements take it out. When searching for generators for sale, remember that inverter generators are more expensive than portable generators, but they're also quieter and cleaner. Always run your generators outside, away from doors and windows, for safety purposes.
What are the benefits of doorbell cameras?
Enjoy privacy, peace of mind, and safety with a wired or wireless doorbell camera. No more peeking through a window when you can watch animal or human visitors in real time. Some doorbell cameras even let you speak to whoever is at the door via your phone, a useful interaction for delivery people or to scare off would-be porch pirates. Several cameras integrate with your smart home app or hub to give you easy and flexible accessibility. Save video clips for future reference as it suits you.
What's the project at the Home Depot Kids Workshop this month?
Don't miss our Kids Workshop from 9–noon on 8/1/26. Introduce your children to the joys of building with this cute pint-sized rocket game. Building this small wooden spaceship is a great way to hone listening abilities, fine motor skills, and creativity. Team up with your little ones to make this quick craft while supplies last. The best part is imagining the rocket launch, so leave some time to blast off!
