Frequently Asked Questions About Your Store

Is there a sale on storage containers?

The Home Depot Garage Storage Sale is here, so it's time to get shopping. From garage shelving to tool chests, we've got bargains on everything you need for a neatly arranged garage. Shop the sales online or in-store from June 22nd through August 18th, 2026, and make this the year you finally organize the garage and basement.

Do you have dorm supplies?

Come see us for your dorm essentials. Utilize our storage containers or moving boxes to transport your belongings, and be ready for residual dirt with cleaning supplies and disinfecting wipes. Bring a tub of spackling to fill old nail holes and Command adhesive hooks to hang string lights. Make the room your own with wall decals and area rugs. Power strips and extension cords let you place lamps, microwaves, and mini fridges where you need them. If you didn't get a new bookbag yet, we've got those, too. Be prepared to head back to college with useful products from your local Home Depot.

How can I prepare my home for summer temperatures?

Make certain your home is ready for summer temps by replacing faulty parts of your home and hardscaping. Check cinder blocks and brick for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from water damage. On your home's exterior, inspect shingles or metal roofs for damage or rust that may let water seep in. Keep gutters fully functional to prevent excess water from seeping beneath your shingles when storms arrive. Lastly, chimney caps and vinyl siding should be swapped out if they're in poor condition.

Do you have moving boxes?

Pick up a mix of moving boxes to make moving and storage easier. We've got the sizes you've been looking for, including specialty ones like TV and wardrobe boxes. Cushion your items with bubble cushion and moving blankets to ensure your belongings make it to your next location safely. Look into our rental moving trucks, too, and take care of your DIY move needs in one place.

Do I need a generator?

Having a generator means you're prepared year-round for whatever circumstances Mother Nature throws at you. Whether dealing with tornados or severe thunderstorms, a portable generator lets you enjoy power when the elements take it out. When searching for generators for sale, don't forget that inverter generators are pricier than portable generators, but they're also quieter and cleaner. Always run your generators outside, away from windows and doors, for safety purposes.

Does The Home Depot sell doorbell cameras?

Enjoy peace of mind, safety, and privacy with a wired or wireless doorbell camera. Stop peeking through a peephole or window when you can view human or animal visitors in real time. Some doorbell cameras even let you speak to whoever is at the door via your phone, a useful interaction to scare off potential porch pirates or talk to delivery people. Many cameras integrate with your smart home hub or app to give you easy and flexible accessibility. Save video clips for future reference and worry less with more control.

Which project will be featured at the free Kids Workshop?

Don't miss our Kids Workshop to encourage future craftspeople and builders! Give your children a taste of the joy of building with this rocket game. Constructing a small wooden spaceship is a great way to sharpen creativity, fine motor skills, and listening abilities. This fun kids' project is happening on August 1st, from 9–12 noon or while supplies last.
