These Ratchet straps are very helpful and seem to be very well put together.
These Ratchet straps are very helpful and seem to be very well put together. They do not feel like cheap knock offs and have performed very well the few times that I have used them. The hook style is new to me and I would have preferred more traditional hooks, but these seem to be holding up well so far. I have been using them to tug cars out of the ditch and to tow dead cars around the parking lot of an automotive shop area.

Great straps
Being A Truck Driver I deal with straps all the time I was very impressed with the ratcheting mechanism on this strap with a larger size it makes it easier to use and the two inch wide and twenty seven foot long you will be able to secure most anything And the Larger hooks make it very easy to attach to pickup beds or to trailers I recommend buying more than one you will find many uses for these straps

Designed for Hard Work
"DeWalt 2 in. x 27 ft. Heavy-Duty Ratchet Tie-Down Strap with 10,000 lbs. Break Strength If you own a truck and a trailer, you'll inevitably find the need for a reliable set of tie-down straps. A quality choice, like this one, can last you well over 20 years with just a bit of care. Simply clean off any oil and dirt, and store it in a dry place. I prefer the DeWalt ratchet due to its ease of handling and its gentleness on the hands. There are no sharp edges to bite into your fingers, and it doesn't require a secondary tool for releasing the strap. While the strap boasts UV resistance, it's advisable to store it away from direct sunlight. It's versatile enough to secure anything that fits on your truck or trailer. For loads exceeding 3333 pounds, multiple tie points are necessary. I personally use a second ratchet, threading the strap through an additional loop, as illustrated. For longer loads, such as cars or boats, a minimum of two complete sets of straps and ratchets is recommended. At our workshop, where we haul everything from scrap to equipment, these straps endure the continuous demands of a construction company without a hitch. I have no complaints; these straps are built for hard work. We maintain a stock of 3 or 4 sets in the shop at all times. In our operations, we use these straps to extract cars, 4-wheelers, and tractors from mud and ditches, especially during the rainy season in Florida. We've even joined two together to secure a shed during a hurricane, and it didn't budge. I have complete trust in this product."

Easy To Use! Durable 2in wide strap!
DeWalt has made a really strong and durable ratcheting strap that definitely stands out. The ratcheting feature is super easy to use. It makes things easier especially when your strapping something on your own. What I enjoy most about this item is the grip handle. Its big enough for my hands and it fits very comfortable. That goes along ways when I wear gloves. The other feature that I like is the bright yellow. It makes things stand out and keep things that much more safer. Overall, for a DIY'er Pro this is the way to go when you get straps. I would easily RECOMMEND it to anyone.

Quality strap but more money than the competition
These straps are really for a large cargo situation. Like a flat bed trailer. They are 27 feet long and have a large handle for extra leverage. The strap is rated at 3333 lbs (load) and slides nicely. The ratchet mechanism is less than perfect. The operation is a bit rough and doesn’t release easily. I used a squirt of WD40 to get it to work better. I expected more from a strap that is priced 30% higher than the competition. For that reason I give this strap a “C” grade for overall value.

For Securing Large Objects with Relative Ease
Living in hurricane prone Florida, we go through a recurring ritual of securing outdoor furniture and other objects in preparation for bad weather. Some of our larger furnishings were always cumbersome to secure, and this product offers a great and reusable solution. We like: 1. Long 27” strap can accommodate large objects and loads without having to link smaller ties together. 2. The strap width is sufficient to spread the force of the strap compression to avoid damaging loads, yet most capable of creating strong secure connections. 3. A visual observation suggests high quality fabrication using heavy duty fabric and several rows of closely stitched metal J hook retainers (but see Concerning, below). 4. The release mechanism is a full cushioned handle that is easy to see and operate. 5. The high-visibility yellow straps make it easy to locate and thread the long strapping. Concerning: There are two small spring-loaded lever releases, that are the only potential weak links I see to the long-term use of this product. If these small/thin springs were to fail, it might limit the functionality of the product. These components are factory coated but, like all metal exposed to the elements (particularly small dimension metal) eventually they wear. Observations: 1. This is a large, heavy-duty product, intended for big applications. Attempting to use this to secure small objects may be cumbersome and the leverage applied to fragile items could be damaging, as that is not the intended application for this product. 2. For ease of use, close the ratchet first, then thread loose strap through the ratchet to take up any slack, and finally operate ratchet to tighten the load. Load release requires moving both the hand grip and pressing down on the spring-loaded thumb grip lever that is located near the strap that is attached to the ratchet to loosen the grip of the strap. 3. I found the product intuitive to use, and although there is a small instruction leaflet, it contained no illustrations, and the font was tiny, making it difficult to read. The leaflet offers a one-year warranty but provides no details concerning coverage. The product is made in China. 4. It’s a bulky product to wrap up and store when not in use. Would be nice if it was packaged with a case contoured to accommodate easy storage. This is a great product for heavy duty use, easy to set up, and to remove. I would recommend it to a friend.

DeWalt Heavy Duty Ratchet Tie Down is A MUST!
For us, if it is DeWalt it is always a superior product! We had no idea they made ratchet tie-downs, so when we saw this and it has 27 ft we bought it. This tie-down has 10,000 LB break strength with a double J hook ratchet strap. One of the best of its features is an ergonomic and comfortable handle so your hands don't get so beat up in using it. It has weather resistant ratchet components to give you longevity and it's very easy to use. Notice on the picture that has it opened that their are armored caps on the sides to keep dirt and grub out of the mechanism. Manufacturer says it has been lab tested 3333 lbs. safe working strength. We are RVers so this tie-down will give us years of good use.

HIGH QUALITY; STRONG; INSTRUCTIONS NEEDED
The DEWALT 2 in. x 27 ft. Heavy-Duty Ratchet Tie-Down Strap is a high quality product which with its 10,000 lb. break strength should successfully tie down loads on the top of a vehicle or in a trailer. The product is guaranteed tough but there is no description of what that guarantee covers. With its large hooks, it may not latch on to just anything. What is lacking are instructions on how to use it with vehicles without a roof rack. I think that I know how to use it but I do not want to use it in an unsafe manner. It is probably easy to determine how to use it with a roof rack but instructions for doing that would still be helpful. The product is made in China.

Great strap for safely securing heavy loads
The DeWalt double J hook weather resistant 10,000 lbs. break strength ratchet strap is indeed very heavy duty. It features an ergonomic handle and weather resistant ratchet components with Non-marking coated double J hooks. It is definitely built for securing heavy loads but the strap is a little overkill for every day use. The ratchet is bulky and stiff, making it tricky to use. I found myself fighting to work the ratchet especially when I was attempting to release the strap from the ratchet. The smaller more common ratchet straps are much easier to handle. That being said, this heavy duty DeWalt ratchet strap is great for certain situations and it does however make for a great addition to your regular size ratchet strap collection.

must have
2 in. x 27 ft. Heavy-Duty Ratchet Tie-Down Strap 10,000 lbs. Break Strength is a must have for just about everyone. The two inch strap gives you 3333 lbs of working strength and that number is printed on the strap. The handle is made of hard plastic that is comfortable to operate. The strap and metal components are UV resistant so this strap will provide years and years of reliable use. The HD also sells many other Dewalt straps for every application. Finally, the strap is priced right.
