Frequently Asked Questions About Your Store

Does The Home Depot have a storage sale in 2026?

Garage Storage Savings are here, so it's time to get shopping. From garage storage bundles to storage bins, we've got bargains on what you need for a neatly arranged garage. Shop the sales in-store or online from 6/22–8/18, and make this the year you organize the garage and shed.

How can I prepare my home for summer temps?

Make certain your home is ready for summertime heat by repairing faulty components of your hardscaping and home. Check cinder blocks and brick for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from missing pieces and water damage. If water gets inside the cracks, you could be dealing with damage. On the outside of your house, inspect shingles or metal roofs for damage or rust that can let water in. Keep gutters clear and functional to keep rain overflow from entering your home when storms arrive. Lastly, chimney caps and vinyl siding should be changed out if they're in poor condition.

Do you offer moving boxes?

Pick up a variety of moving boxes to make storage and moving easier. We've got the sizes you need, including specialty ones like TV and wardrobe boxes. Cushion your items with bubble cushion and moving blankets to ensure your belongings make it to your next location safely. Look into our rental moving trucks, too, and take care of your DIY move needs in one place.

Should I get an inverter generator or a portable generator?

Having a generator means you're prepared year-round for whatever circumstances Mother Nature throws at you. Whether dealing with tornados, blizzards, or strong winds, a portable generator lets you enjoy electricity when the elements take it out. When browsing generators for sale, keep in mind that inverter generators are pricier than portable generators, but they're also quieter and cleaner. For safety purposes, always run your generators outdoors, away from doors and windows.

Do you have wired or wireless doorbell cameras?

Enjoy safety, peace of mind, and privacy with a wired or wireless doorbell camera. Stop peeking through a window when you can watch animal or human visitors in real time. Some doorbell cams even let you talk to whoever is on your doorstep via your phone, a useful interaction to scare off potential porch pirates or talk to delivery people. Most cameras integrate with your smart home app or hub to give you flexible accessibility. Save video clips for future reference and worry less with more control.

What's the project at The Home Depot Kids Workshop in August 2026?

Don't miss our Kids Workshop to encourage future builders! Give your children a taste of the joy of building with this rocket game. Constructing a wooden spaceship toy is a great way to hone fine motor skills, listening abilities, and creativity. This cute kids' project is happening on August 1st, from 9 a.m. to noon or while supplies last.

Great Customer Service today!
I usually have to ask for help. Or even look for someone that could help me. Today, I didn't have to do that. The young lady that helped me, let me know she was new. I had no issues with that. She was friendly, personable and helpful. Usually I'm frustrated coming to this store because I'm disabled and usually have to walk around to find someone to help but this young lady didn't make me do that. I wish I remembered her name. I was in the cleaning supply section at around 11:45 a.m. today 12/19/2023. I really wish that I remembered her name so she could get credit for being so awesome to this old lady 😁

    My Go-to Store
When I need anything for my home or garages I always check Home Depot first and rarely have to look elsewhere. I especially appreciate their appliances and the option of delivery and installation. My new washer and dryer would have been a nightmare to install myself, but for a reasonable fee it was delivered and installed quickly and with no problems. I’m glad to have this Home Depot relatively close to home.

The delivery system is a joke
When things are delivered to the house, they are either broken or missing or they can’t quite get to the house. They need to have some kind of system to deliver this stuff unbroken and to the address.

        Great Service
Dale went above and beyond in helping us design and order kitchen cabinets, and assisted us in other needs for our home renovation. I would highly recommend anybody to visit Poplar Bluff Home Depot for their needs. Ask for Dale, he was great.

          Helping hands
Store personnel greeted me and asked if they could provide any assistance. I explained what I needed and they instructed me on where to go to begin looking for them and sent a store personnel with me to try and locate the nuts and bolts that I needed. There was some concern about the kind of nut or both size and type and the Store employee went and spoke with another employee who knew more about it than he did together they figured out the size and the type and how many we would need and I was a happy person. Both employees were very helpful. Very easy to talk with and very much interested in finding the correct bolt so I could put my furniture together.

              Some employees
I come in there quite a bit and for the most part majority of the people are really nice, but there’s a handful that are on a regular basis that worked there that put off a vibe like they’re hateful and hate their job and don’t know anything about their job about the products. Plus, it seems like they’re always dropping down the F bombs around customers and kids around. Did you hear them talk to other employees putting down the store and how bad it is to work there and as a customer I don’t wanna hear that kind of language and stuff and I would rather have someone who has knowledge of what I am needing instead of saying they don’t have it then I find it

                  Only 1 kitchen designer
I recently ordered almost $20,000 worth of kitchen cabinets. I had issues with 2 of the cabinets…one was TOTALLY wrong (color and style) and another appeared to have a crack in the front frame that had just been painted over. The issues were found approximately 24 hours apart. The issue with the ‘cracked’ cabinet was addressed by the kitchen designer the day we found it (Sunday). We then found the WRONG cabinet on Monday afternoon around 3:30 pm. I called the store to speak with the kitchen designer & had to leave a message…it was about 3 hours before I received a callback & then was told the issue would have to be addressed when he returned after the holiday…which I am ‘assuming’ is Saturday. It blows my mind that there is not someone to design/handle issues every day since the store is open 7 days a week. It makes NO sense. As the saying goes “Time is money”. The fact that this cannot be dealt with for several days will likely put this project back 2-3 weeks AT BEST. Not a good way to run a business, in my opinion. I may have been just as well to hire them custom built… The kitchen designer was personable & professional, however, it did seem like the program being used was less than optimal. But, one person cannot & should not be expected to work every day of the week. Hence, the reason that there should be a second person to work on opposite days.

                    Not quite perfect
A door closer was unscrewed and removed from the outside entry door and not replaced. A door closer from the exterior entry door was unscrewed and removed, and was never reattached. Wheels weren’t locked and fridge rolls forward while opening the door. And, refrigerator wheels were not locked,, so it rolls forward when the door handle is pulled.
