How can I prepare my home for summer?
Be confident your home is set for relentless summer weather by repairing faulty parts of your home and hardscaping. If water gets in the cracks, you might be looking at trouble. Check cinder blocks and bricks for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from water damage. On the exterior of your home, inspect metal roofs or roof shingles for damage that could let water leak in. Keep gutters fully functional to prevent excess water from seeping beneath your shingles when storms arrive. Lastly, vinyl siding and chimney caps should be changed out if they're in poor condition.
What kinds of moving boxes do you have?
Make your move easier by picking up a variety of moving boxes. We've got the sizes you've been looking for, including specialty ones like TV and wardrobe boxes. Cushion your items with moving blankets and bubble cushion to ensure your belongings make it safely. Remember to check out our moving truck rentals if you need those, too.
Should I get an inverter generator or a portable generator?
Having a generator means you're prepared year-round for any circumstances Mother Nature throws at you. Whether dealing with tornados or severe thunderstorms, a portable generator lets you enjoy power after the elements take it out. When searching for generators for sale, keep in mind that inverter generators cost more than portable generators, but they're also quieter and cleaner. Always run your generators outside, away from doors and windows, for safety purposes.
Do you have doorbell cameras?
Enjoy peace of mind, safety, and privacy with a wireless or wired doorbell camera. Stop peeking through an adjacent window when you can watch human or animal visitors in real time. Some doorbell cams even let you talk to whoever is on your doorstep via your phone, a useful interaction for delivery people or to scare off wannabe porch pirates. Many cameras integrate with your smart home app or hub to give you easy accessibility. Choose to save video clips for future reference as it suits you.
When is the July Home Depot Kids Workshop?
Stop by the Kids Workshop to encourage future builders! Give your children a taste of the joy of building with this toy go-kart. Constructing a small wooden toy with wheels is a great way to exercise fine motor skills, creativity, and listening abilities. This fun kids' project is happening on July 4th, from 9–12 noon or while supplies last.
