    Exceptional Service and Dedicated Staff: A Patio Project Success Story!!
    I’ve had the pleasure of visiting the ANN ARBOR Store #2721 multiple times over the past two months for my patio project, and each visit was marked by exceptional service. Margaret, Vivian, and Anwar stood out in particular. Their combined efforts played a significant role in the successful completion of my project. They were always eager to assist in any way they could, demonstrating patience, knowledge, and genuine care. The store’s welcoming atmosphere and the dedicated staff, like them, make it my top choice for home improvement needs. A huge shoutout to this fantastic trio for their unwavering support! I wholeheartedly recommend this Home Depot location to everyone!

          We do most of our home project shopping at the Home Depot on Carpenter Rd in Ann Arbor as they are well stocked, their employees are pleasant, knowledgeful and always helpful.

            Worst customer service
            You guys have to teach your employees how the customer service should be and how to greet the customer and keep the customer happy because without the customer you are running out of the business and I see that soon with carpenter location, cause they are always rude and they do not help when we need help

              Everything went well while I was ordering the materials (10/10/2025). The representative spoke to me about the quality of the materials and what I could do to ensure the table would not topple over. I was in the store the next day to pick up an order for lumber (precut) so I could build a table hold my plants inside of my apartment. When I picked up the lumber it was wet, as if it had been sitting in the rain or the lumber used was sitting in the rain. I was shocked. Furthermore, one of the table legs was about 1/8 inches taller that the other three. I sat the lumber outside the day I picked it up so it could dry in the sun. This morning when I felt the lumber, it was still damp. I'm really upset about the employee who cut the lumber because the legs were not even; and the fact that Home Depot would give me wood that was damp. What can be done about this? Have someone double check the measurements before you give it to a customer.

                Terrible customer service
                The cashier made a mistake and told me to go to customer service. I waited for 15 min in line and Harold took another customer to cut off the line. I was told I had to refund something, therefore anybody with questions only can cut the line by Ibriham. And he was being rude about it! What is wrong with customer service at this store????

                        I needed a new one. I’ve already been through three of them. I have a big yard and I had a lot to take care of because my neighbor doesn’t take care of their stuff.

                          Zero help with DIY fix.
                          I needed to replace a cartridge for my shower valve and purchase a new shower head and handle. I brought the cartridges, I was replacing along with pictures of the valve for the shower behind the wall. The first employee was nice, but admitted he did not know much about showers and plumbing, and at least pointing me in the right directions for searching for shower heads with install kits. The second employee stocking shelves in the plumbing aisle was not as nice and gave some bad advice with really thinking it through. He simply said, I would need to contact a plumber for installing the valve. After contacting the plumber and sending him my photos he said my valve was fine and simply needed to replace the cartridge. This would have saved me purchasing the entire kit with the valve as all, I needed was a trim kit without the valve. Home depot used to be a place you could educated for DIY this location disappoints in that regard.

                                      Flyer did not have sale items displayed in store but Ian came thru!
                                      FISKARS pruner and lopper on sale per flyer were nowhere to be seen in the store! After 10 minutes of fruitless searching with 2 associates I decided to escalate the issue. Store floor manager, Ian,did a great job to make this customer happy and get a great deal despite the sale items not on display in store. Great job!

                                          Best and most consistent customer experience!!!
                                          Absolutely the BEST and most CONSISTENT customer experience I've ever had a large chain. I worked for many years in Customer Care, and find that few companies can really deliver on this level of care for its customers from door to parking lot. From the employees to the service to the follow-up is clearly a best-practice. Kudos to the Ann Arbor store for this customer experience.

                                                  I have been using Home Depot and its services since 1993! When I started my business it became my main supplier. Seldom do I have to go anywhere else for my supplies. Either in store or through special orders. Keep up the good work.

                                                    Home Depot has a policy that does not allow rentals of trucks if you do not own an expensive cell phone. I was denied because my cell phone did not meet Home Depot's discrimatory standard!

                                                      I went in to buy appliances for my whole house. A associate in the appliance section named Kelly helped throughout the whole process. He helped me find good appliances at an even better price! He also was useful in what appliances we should get a warranty on and which ones it may not be quite as important as we didn’t want to waste the money on ones that aren’t known to have issues!

                                                        HD Fan for 20 Years
                                                        Bought a Lennox furnace and a water heater from HD recently. The two installers were terrific. They ran a cold air return from our sunroom to the new furnace thru the attic in one day. The original builder neglected to put one in. Bought a LG washing machine that was highly rated by Consumer Reports. Runs great. Two no hassle returns in 20 years. The equipment rental service comes in handy.

                                                            Can't deliver the washing machine that I paid for
                                                            I purchased a washing machine from Home Depot on Aug 8th. I was provided a delivery date of Aug 14th. The machine arrived looking like it was hit by a truck. I refused the delivery and was told I would get a new 1 within 24 hours. Spoke with Home Depot and they said they couldn't deliver another 1 until Aug 19. That delivery was canceled and I was told the machine was now back ordered. I spoke with the delivery company and they advised they had a machine they could deliver on Aug 21st. Aug 21st came and went and no delivery. Spoke with manager Ian that advised the machine was back ordered and someone should have called. Asked if we could replace it for a different washing. We agreed upon 1 and he advised he could have it delivered on the 24th. He then had another employee call me back and change it to the 26th. We were told we were number 16 on the list and it should arrive between 3p and 7p. Again the machine was not delivered without a call. Spoke with Ian again and given a new delivery date of Aug 28th. The machine actually arrived but again it was damaged. I was told that I should know something in 24 to 48 about a new date. Seems like a simple task but somehow Home Depot is unable to figure it out.
