Keep up the good work at the Aspen Hill Store. The personal and the customer service is quality.

I am a kindergarten teacher and I wanted to put together a ramp and pulley to do a unit on simple machines in my class. I had no clue how I was going to do this. I walked in the store and asked the first person I saw if they could help me. WELL, this was the right person to ask!!! Steven took on the project like it was his own and we brainstormed together and figured out a design. Then he took me all over the store to get the parts I needed, AND found scrap parts for me to use so that I didn't have to break the bank. Then he *assembled the ramp and pulley* in the store - at this point I was kinda in shock that an angel had fallen from the sky and made this all happen - seriously, I own a hammer and that's about it, and I was NOT sure my crazy idea would ever work. Steven was THE MOST HELPFUL person I think I have EVER encountered in a store. EVER. I usually do not write reviews online, but I figured he went above and beyond, so I thought I would, too. I cannot thank you enough, Steven! My class is going to have a rockin' physics experiment and it will be thanks to you. As a teacher, it is so heartwarming to feel supported by members of the community and to see how other people care about our kids!! Yay!!!!!!

Noticed the day I shopped the store was exceptionally clean, neat and organized. This visit I saw a number of new products on display. The displays were clean, neat and inviting. In fact, the entire store was inviting. Thank you. C ashier Angela and Cashier Tashara were both very helpful and courteous. Thank them, please. P.S. My email ID and address are NOT commercial. I.E Metrorail is a name I chose while an employee of Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority. I retired in June 2003.

good place to shop

The place is full of employees but most of them don't have a clue. I understand that there are a lot of recent hires. One notable exception is the guy who helped me on isle 30 with the closet racks and shelves. He was great: pleasant, knowledgeable, and helpful both times I shopped there. :

As a partially disabled senior/veteran I was greatly impressed with what I consider an improvement to customer satisfaction. Being such a large store I had to ask an employee where to find a product, who promptly took me there. Asking another employee about a CLR product was met by a passing employee who stated without hesitation, come with me, I will show you the product. WOW & WOW. I find this kind of help will keep me coming back. Even the cashier Carlene was pleasant. I was back to my car and gone in about 12 minutes. THANK YOU.

Outstanding customer service at this store.

Ok as a hardware store, but making a left turn on to Georgia ave after shopping is not safe. You will need to cross 4-6 lanes of traffic with cars and pickups trying to cut across in front of your making left turns. DANGEROUS ! No fun during busy hours, like 7:30AM to 7:30 PM before after those hours are not too bad.

The staff here seem more helpful and friendly than at some other stores. As a result, I was able to find everything I was looking for very quickly.

Three Cheers for store cashiers Myriam and Davina. Great employees who go the extra mile to help their customers! Weekends are the busiest shopping periods in this store. These two employees give customers great service, as if you were the only customer in the store on a slow weekday. They both deliver focused and intelligent customer service that you would normally find only in a small family owned traditional old fashioned hardware store. Rarely, and I mean rarely, does a customer experience this kind of service in a 'Big Box' store. Attention store management, treat these employees well before one of your competitors hires them away! Almost walked away after not finding a Weber cover to replace a miserably cheap, desintegrating Brinkman cover I put on our Silver C a year ago. Chris pointed out a Universal brand cover and knew that it was made of Cordura that should last longer than a year. (Reviewers say that even Weber has cheaped-out on covers and what used to last a decade now goes a year or two...). I bought a cover and will give it a try. I wouldn't have even looked at that generic had Chris not asked how he could help - and genuinely did!

The staff are great at this store. Thanks to Cashier Davina and Myriam in Customer service. Two excellent employees who are both helpful, personable and friendly, display a great attitude towards customers and their respective jobs. Great employees like these transform an otherwise boring or frustrating shopping trip to Home Depot into a good experience. The store is very well stocked with a large inventory. Helpful employees who can rapidly and accurately answer shoppers' questions are a big plus. A retail store is only as good as its employees, and judging by the 2 aforementioned employees, this is a very good store. Thanks for your help. I'll continue to shop at this store despite the fact that it is quite far from my home and office. Thanks!

Yes like the store for me. My wife is has been a little concerned lately about going to the store by herself. She has been approached more then once by day labors asking if she needed help loading her car or work at her home.

store is clean and product is well organized, helpful assistance and very helpful.

Employees are available and friendly. Help is easily attended to marking shopping faster.

The pick up desk is awesome. We had an electrician come to our home to install 3 light fixtures. We realized we needed a fourth and I went this morning to get it. While I was on way to store, the electrician realized I had gotten the wrong bulbs. I had forgotten my cell phone so my wife called the store. They had the bulbs ready at the pick up desk by the time I got there to get the fourth fixture. The entire staff at the pick up desk was awesome during this project, but Isatu went above and beyond.

We have been shopping here since the store opened and have always been pleased with our shopping experience.

THE STORE IS CLEAN AND FRIENDLY STAFF TO GO TO YOUR STORE AFTER 6 AND THE DAYLIGHT IS GONE YOUR PARKING LOT IS NOT THE SAFEST PLACE FOR ANYONE IT IS PITCH BLACK ON THE LOT PERHAPS YOU CAN CONCIDER MAKING THAT A SAFER PLACE TO WALK FROM YOUR CAR TO THE STORE AND VICE VERSA

Scott, a flooring specialist at the Aspen Hill, MD store went above and beyond the call. The product I was purchasing was mis-labeled on the shelf and in the store database. He kept researching and eventually tried to contact the manufacturer who was not picking up the phone. He said he would keep trying. He called me on his day off to follow up to give me the information so I could order the correct items. Scott is aewsome!

Items are easy to find. Staff are helpful.

I find the staff in this store to be extremely helpful. If they do not know the answer they will find someone who does. We were looking for doors and got valuable advice on how to get the most value for our money from the staff.

There often are plenty of employees but their demeanor is regularly neither professional nor helpful. The store feels run down and disorganized. I've recently had employees say that items on display in window treatments are unavailable -- the display is old. I've had an employee in paint sarcastically tell me HD doesn't carry a product (he was incorrect, btw).

I am a single female and find Home Depot intimidating! I met a cashier, Dirce, on my visit. She encouraged me with my project and put me at ease with the task ahead of me. Her badge indicated that she has worked at Home Depot for 18 years. It shows! Home Depot employees are helpful to find product, but this cashier was helpful in giving me the confidence to want to do home projects. She encouraged me to come into the store and wonder the massive, long, stacked aisles so they didn't intimidate me so much. I did. And it was a great suggestion. I am upgrading the door handles in my house. They look so much better and I feel total confident doing it. I am so happy that she took the time to talk to me!!
