Great customer service

While the appliance associate, Cynthia, was nice and friendly our delivery and installation didn’t go well at all. Everyone just put their hands up and said “not me!” Now we have to wait another two days on top of the two weeks to even get someone to deliver our items to get them installed... lack of ownership, responsibility and outsourcing to 3rd party installers is what is killing retail more and more everyday.

Love shopping here, the store is always well stocked and clean. The associates are always happy to help!

Home Depot always go above and beyond to satisfy the customers. Kudos to the man and women that work there

I went to Home Depot to buy a water heater this past Monday (2 days ago). I asked the front desk for someone to help me pick out the one right for me. Sebastian Stevens came over after a brief wait. He spent a lot of time with me, answered all my questions and arranged the installation of the heater I opicked out. I got a call from the installation team BEFORE I LEFT THE STORE, and the heater was installed today, Wednesday (on the second day following my visit to the store). I was amazed at the efficiency with which the whole transaction was handled.

I almost always find what I need here Well stocked store . Employees are always ready to help.

Fantastic experience! From initial greeting, to help with finding what I was looking for, to checking out, to calling in 6 hours later after I realized I had left an item I had purchased on the self checkout counter, to them then locating it for me and setting it aside for my return.. start to finish, awesome experience!!!

Ed Chyra and Mary hands down great employees. Ed helped me find what I needed and Mary rang me out with a upbeat personality , she’s a doll. These are the type of people we need to have in our communities , couldn’t have better . Best customer service seen in a long time .

Workers are helpful and kind. Chris Wilkos was helpful and patient when we needed a large order. Pete and Chris loaded our items in our van and refused tips or coffee. We definitely will be shopping there more often.

I had an awful customer service experience on 12/20/17 with Jasmin - who was trusted to work the courtesy desk - handling returns. A marker to repair nicks in furniture - was returned. I bought the product 10/29/17 (where that receipt indicated I had until 1/27/18 to return my product). The marker did not work. Jasmin examined the marker tip - and told me 'it looks like this has been used' to which I replied, 'yes, it has been used... and does not work... how else would I determine it did not work for me if I didn't use it?!?' We're talking a mere $4.66 here. She didn't acknowledge my question and just rolled her eyes. There is NOTHING more ridiculous than an employee who has no idea how to represent herself and her company to a customer. If she really was as compassionate about the 'return policy', she should have (and very well COULD HAVE) called a manager to explain to me, what was already written on the receipt. She felt the need to tell me that I 'cannot return an item after I complete a project...' yet, how on earth does she know what my 'project' is?!? She didn't. This is where her customer service skills need refining. I would gladly show you the 'project' she was telepathically 'thinking' about... I would've also GLADLY exchanged this wax furniture paint pencil for the marker (which worked) but at that point, I took my refund and drove to Lowe's (1 mile down the road) and found exactly what I needed with no hassle. I'll continue to do that. We need less 'Jasmins' representing The Home Depot.

Cynthia Merchant in the Home Appliance Department is very friendly, courteous, has high product knowledge and quickly completed the purchase of our Samsung Refrigerator.

There are three reasons for my rating. 1. Upon entering this store, I was extremely disoriented. None of the aisle arrangements made sense. There were ovens with toilets, flooring was on the opposite side of the store from the kitchen and bathroom area, and many other randomly placed things. The state of chaos only made me believe we’re supposed to hunt for everything in an attempt to entice you to buy things you may not have intended to purchase. This is provided for an extremely frustrating experience. 2. The only saving grace about this shopping trip was the very helpful gentlemen working the kitchen area who helped us get a toilet from the top shelf. They both actually seemed to care. 3. Now comes the best part. Our miserable cashier. She was all glowing and wonderful while having a conversation with another associate...then we apparently ruined her Sunday. We were hoping to have a price match on the toilet we were planning to purchase (that the gentleman worked so hard to get down for us). The other toilet was from A direct competitor and was an exact match it was the exact same box, same style, color, make and model name. However, the model number was off by 2 digits. All we got was a “Nope not the same thing. The model number, it’s not the same”. With a stone cold “I don’t give a cr*p about you and your cr@pper” stare. She called the manager and spoke to him/her herself and relayed the message we already knew the answer. Had we gotten the opportunity to speak to the manager ourselves, this review probably would end differently because managers know at the end of the day, customer experience is much more important that $20. We did not purchase the toilet. Our $200 purchase and customer loyalty was downgraded to $27 and never coming back because of your cashier.

Usually when I go to Home Depot I find my own stuff as the response I get for help from a Customer Associate is poor to mediocre at best. However, once in awhile I meet up with one of your staff who is exceptional and extremely helpful. Yesterday was that day at your Berlin, CT store. My wife and I were meandering around when your Customer Rep., Paul, approached us and asked if he could help us. I had about 6 items still left and he walked us around the store and helped us in selecting each one. He acted truly professional, polite, and personable. He is a model of what the ideal Customer Representative should be. Good job Paul!
