How long can I rent a truck?
Rent a truck or cargo van for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes could be enough time. Otherwise, consider renting it by the week or the day, depending on the length of your project. Don't forget to factor in the drive to and from the store, as you must return it to the same store you rented it from. Penske moving truck rentals allow round-trip options as well as one-way options, and they have different terms. Make sure to review the contract and the terms and conditions before you choose a truck.
When can I bring the tools back?
You can return the tools early if you finish your project sooner than predicted, but on time works, too. As long as you return it by the deadline you were given when you rented it, you'll be good to go. Please clean off any residual dust, mud, and grime from the tool as well. Do saw rentals come with saw blades?
Yes, power saw rentals generally come with blades, but we do recommend that you buy your own. Your rental likely won't come with a new blade. However, you might get lucky and have a sharpened blade on the saw. Since there's no guarantee, it's better to purchase a suitable blade, just in case you need it.
Do I need to refill the rental truck with gas?
Yes, please fuel up the truck before you bring it back. Note the original fuel level when you receive the truck, and be sure to fill it with enough gas to match that same level. If you don't, you have to pay a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.
Do I just need a driver's license to rent a truck?
No, you must hold a valid driver's license and be 21 or older. Depending on your state, you may require car insurance, as well as a deposit or credit card hold, too.
