Dismal service
In addition to the lack of assistance from employees on the floor the overall attitude of the folks on the floor is often very bad. I have on occassions simply said hello and had someone glare at me and keep walking. This is an individual I conversed with in the store on a couple occassions before and there wasn't any tension when we talked so i was kind of bewildered by that behaviour. It occurs too frequently to not be noticed by managers or leads . We ordered wood for a fence and my neighbor said it would be ready on a specific date by 7am. I asked if he called and he said no. I told him to call and check before heading to the store. We went to the store together instead and they told him it wasn't ready. They said it would be ready in a couple more hours. Then it would be the next day. Then they weren't sure when it would be ready and said they would call. Waited 2 more full days before we started pulling the orders ourselves. Recently I ordered a vinyl floor cover for my trailer. This arrived two days late. Since I was unable to pickup the order I had to go pickup a vehicle in my new trailer that unbeknownst to me leaked gas. I ordered this cover to specifically protect my trailer from those types of issues and scheduled around delivery adding a one day cushion. When working on a recent project I had to purchase electrical fittings. Pray you don't have to wait on assistance because some of the folks at this store are standoffish and not helpful at all. Don't get me wrong customer service is always friendly and apologetic but it's really just placating you. If it was sincere there would be change. If someone slapped your face and you complained and recieved an apology you might shrug it off. Then if they slapped you again and you received a super sweet apology you would definitelty not feel very reassured. However when they slapped you again you would already know any apology wouldn't be at all sincere. Really i just believe Home Depot is a a company that values iney but could careless about how they treat you to get it.

    Great customer service today
    I was looking for glue down carpet squares, but could not find them. I asked a HD guy working on another aisle for help. He found them blocked behind a display rack and brought out a box for me. As a result, the QR code for my military ID would not work. But, the cashier looked up my cell number and verified my military stays and was granted a 10% discount for my purchase. Also, wifi at this store is weak.

                                This store is lacking!
                                While the employees are great, I don’t believe the management knows how to manage. The employees are frustrated with the management and this store has changed in the past couple of years as far as product on the shelf such as not carrying a product or being out of a certain size, etc. Also, if you want anything big in the garden center, you will have to go halfway across the parking lot to get a flatbed. I have even spoken to management about it and was assured that they would do better, but nothing has changed in the last several trips that I have been there. This just shows me that management at this store doesn’t really care about the customer.

                                      We love Tommie! Super delightful and kind guy.
                                      I'm not a real fan of self checkout, especially when you have to look up items that don't have a UPC code. Tommie was there to help us check out. This gentleman is amazing! He told us he was 80 years old and yet he was as energetic and youthful as any of his coworkers. Great and happy experience. How about an employee of the month bonus for this guy? I'll chip in.

                                              This store is located in a "dead zone" for cellphone service, which makes it nearly impossible to look things up on your phone while shopping there, or even to make phone calls. This is a problem because often when shopping at a hardware store you need to verify the size of various tools/hardware you need while you're there.

                                                Kyle was probably THE most helpful and friendly home improvement employee I've ever interacted with, including the two local places I use. He approached me and asked if I needed help. He quickly helped me grab stock from an overhead bay. He taught me all about different brands of electric (cordless) tools, specifically mentioning company strategies! He instantly found me boxes of two different nails I brought in from home. Super friendly guy and super helpful. The 10% military discount on every purchase is outstanding.

                                                      I was needing assistance with a product for my weed eater. I didn’t have to wait long after having someone called to help me when Easton showed up. Smiling n cheerful he greeted me and listened to what I needed. He did his best to provide Correct information and was honest with his knowledge of the product. I feel very comfortable with what I decided to buy from Easton help. I don’t know if he’s a lead or supervisor In my opinion management would be maken a mistake if they didn’t consider Easton for such a position I really enjoyed my experience today because of him

                                                        Paint Department Employees Are Very Very RUDE
                                                        Behr Ceiling Paint was defective. Caused us much grief. We had to sand the entire ceiling to remove the bad paint and start over. Paint department employee was rude and insensitive.

                                                          I work for a very large Seattle area construction company and have a company card. I’m required to submit receipts for tax audit purposes. If I don’t turn one in, it comes out of my paycheck. I lost two Home Depot receipts last week, for almost $400 combined, so I was going to have to go to each of the two stores to get them. These stores are on the opposite ends of the Seattle area, where traffic is horrific. This would have been a 3-4 trip, minimum, and not the way to spend a weekend day. I was shopping at the Covington store and as I was checking out, I figured I’d ask if they could print my receipts, despite being a different store. The guy at customer service called a manager, Ian. When I told Ian what I wanted, he said he didn’t know how to do that, but he would try. What a CHAMP! It would have been SO easy to just say, “oh, sorry, I can’t do that.” I would not have known. It wouldn’t have made me mad at him or Home Depot. But he didn’t. He spent the time to figure out how to find my receipts with the info I had (date, store, amount, card), and print them for me. The way I look at it is this: Ian spent 10-15 min of his time to give me back my entire Sunday. I hope your District Manager (or whoever is above you) sees this and gives you a raise, promotion, or pat on the back. Maybe all three.
