Can I rent tools by the hour?

You can rent a tool for four hours or longer. It depends on how long you'd like to rent them. Small DIY projects may only require a short rental period, and bigger jobs aren't a problem either. You've got options to rent tools by the day, week, or month, too. If you need it longer than your initial rental period, call the Rental Center to arrange an extension and avoid late fees.

When do I return the tools?

You can return the tools early if you finish your project sooner than predicted, but on time works, too. As long as you return it by the deadline you were given when you rented it, you'll be good to go. Please clean any built-up dirt from the tool as well. If you need it longer, call the rental center to see if you can extend your rental period.

Do saw rentals come with saw blades?

Yes, power saw rentals generally come with blades, but we do recommend that you buy your own. Your rental likely won't come with a new blade. However, you may luck out and receive an excellent one. As there's no guarantee, it's better to purchase a suitable blade, just in case you need it.

Should I refill the rental truck before I bring it back?

Yes, please fuel up the truck before you bring it back. Note the amount of gas in the tank when you receive the truck, and be sure to fill it with enough gas to match that same level. If you don't, you have to pay a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.

Do I just need a driver's license to rent a truck?

No, you must hold a valid driver's license and be 21 or older. Depending on your state, you may require car insurance, as well as a deposit or credit card hold, too. We don't accept cash for Home Depot truck rentals, so please bring your credit card. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements, so review those if you plan to rent a Penske truck.
