Today was the reason I usually shop at Lowe’s.. the sale associates did not seem interested in helping me, they either didn’t care of didn’t know to tell me I needed to purchase a power cord for my dryer.. Did not offer free delivery or installation on my qualifying purchase, instead convinced me it would fit in the back of my SUV (which it did only after having to tie down the back).. I will not buy an appliance from this store again.
Price was clearly listed with the item but item rang up higher. Not a matter of the price difference but the dismissive attitude of the people that work there. Brought it to the attention of 2 clerks but neither could have cared less. One told me it was for the item below it yet there was only one price tag between the 2 bays. Also bought it to the attention at the service desk. ..... no response at all.
cashier Ms.JHulie was a help at cashing out.
The assistance I received from a store employee in the electrical department was excellent! My hobby is model building and so I am building a spray paint booth DIY project. Doing this myself will save about $250. The employee who helped my was very knowledable and able to quickly determine and locate the electrical components for the project. This saved time and ensured that I have the correct components.
Friendly employees, good prices and items I need are always in stock.
January 2, 2020 at 10:00 A.M.: The associates at this store are rude and inconsiderate. Two workers were in a lumber aisle moving items with a forklift, I waited a few moments for them to finish and they seemed more intent on talking with each other than finishing what they had to do to open the aisle. I then went to check if they carried posts for floating shelves, they do not, that’s fine. Then I went to see if the guys were done moving what they had to move in the lumber aisle, they had not finished, but instead appeared to have knocked a bunch of boards off of forklift. I heard them swearing to each other, one of them had a black walkie-talkie type work phone and he said "what the F^%&?" when it rang. I also had to do some grocery shopping so I left my carriage with three items in it and did my grocery shopping at Big Y. That took me at least 20 minutes. I came back to Home Depot to see if the guy were done, I didn't want to rush them because I know that stocking shelves is important (if that's even what they were doing). I finally made eye contact with one of them and he said to me "what's up?" So I asked them if they were going to be done any time soon and he said "no." So then I asked if I could get a board. I don't want to interrupt and assume that what I have to do is more important than what they are doing but it becoming an inconvenience to me and I'm trying to spend money here! The worker then said "go ahead" and they left the forklift in the aisle and both of them walked away. I got the piece of limber I needed to finish my project and then went to check out. The cashier, Jahnaya, was a very nice and pleasant young woman. However, it seems more often than not the associates at this store are not helpful or just plain rude. I wonder if it is worth spending a little more at a smaller store for better service. I spend a lot of money at this Home Depot and I wonder if I paid more for better service at a smaller store would it be more cost effective? Maybe.
I needed help, got it right away from a beautiful and well informed associate. Great team!!!
