When you're beginning to leap into a major home improvement project, you might not have all the tools you need in the workshop. That's when you should stop by The Home Depot Tool Rental Center in Glendale.
Tool Rental
Our tool rental options expand your toolbox and toolbelt with the precise tools you need to complete the job. It's not practical to purchase a specialized tool when you're rarely reaching for it. When you're considering a new tool, give it a spin before you select which one to buy. Whatever your situation, we have the power tools you're looking for.
Tame the Lawn and Greenery Early
Lighten the load with outdoor power equipment rentals and whip the yard into shape again. Neaten the yard with a rental lawn mower and leaf blower rental, the trees and hedges with a chainsaw, and the sidewalks with a rental pressure washer. Your outdoor oasis will be looking fresh and ready for new spring flowers in no time.
Make Painting Easier with Paint Sprayers and Rental Scaffolding
Make the most of longer spring days and paint outdoors. Rent paint sprayers to get professional coverage and work much faster than you would with a brush or roller and a paint tray. Ladder rentals help you reach high locations when painting fences, houses, and sheds. We carry step ladders and extension ladders for medium or smaller jobs, so you won't have to wait when inspiration strikes.
Truck Rental
For transporting large tool rentals or anything else, we keep flatbed trucks and cargo vans ready to roll — with availability varying by store. We'll have the correct size truck rental for your project so you can keep your timeline running smoothly. As your source for packing, DIY, and storage, it's simple to make us your go-to source for moving and transport as well.

How do I rent trucks and tools?
Stop by your local Rental Center to see what's available. If you want confirmation before you drive there, call first to inquire about a tool or truck. You could also read our truck rental or tool and equipment rental pages to see if what you need is at your favorite store. For more information on renting tools, read the Tool Rental FAQs, which includes terms and conditions for the equipment.
Can I rent a tool for an hour?
Tool rentals start at four hour time slots. It depends on how long you'd like to rent them. Small home improvement jobs may only require a short rental period, and we can accommodate large projects as well. You've got options to rent tools by the month, week, or day, too. If you need it longer than anticipated, call your Rental Center to arrange an extension and avoid late fees.
When do I return the tools?
You can return the tools early if you complete your project ahead of schedule, but on-time works, too. As long as you return it by the deadline you were given when you rented it, you'll be good to go. Please clean off mud and grime from the tool as well. If you need them longer, give the rental center a call to see if you can extend your rental period.
Can I rent a truck for a few hours?
Rent a box truck, cargo van, or flatbed truck for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes may be enough time. Otherwise, consider renting it by the day or the week, depending on the length of your project. Be sure to factor in the drive between the store and the job site, as you must return it to the same store where you rented it. Penske moving truck rentals allow one-way rentals as well as round-trip options, and they have different terms. Be sure to read the provided documentation before selecting a vehicle.
Should I refill the rental truck with gas before I bring it back?
Yes, please fuel up the truck before you return it. Match the level of gas that was in the tank when you received the rental. If you don't, you'll have to pay a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.
Do I just need a driver's license to rent a truck?
No, you also need to be 21 or older, in addition to holding a valid driver's license. Depending on your state, you may require car insurance, as well as a credit card hold or a deposit, too. Please bring your credit card for Home Depot truck rentals, as we don't accept cash. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements.
