The Home Depot Rental Center at High Point

Begin your next DIY project with confidence and the correct tools for the job. Let The Home Depot Tool Rental Center in High Point fill in the gaps in your toolbox with the items you don't have at home. Rent a tool and bring it back after you've completed the project. If it turns out the rental tools would be more useful than you thought, inquire about buying our retired rental tools. The retired rental tools are discounted compared to the new items in our aisles.

Tame the Lawn and Trees
Keep up with summer growth with outdoor power equipment rentals. Neaten the yard with a lawn mower rental and the sidewalks and driveway with a rental pressure washer. Your outdoor oasis will be looking fresh in no time.

Rent Concrete Mixers to Finish That Project
Finally cross those outdoor jobs off the list by renting a concrete mixer. Use larger mixers for bigger projects. We offer towable concrete mixers as well, so bring a truck or rent one of ours for easy transport. We've also got concrete saw rentals and concrete grinders in various sizes.

Load 'N Go Trucks
If you're looking to rent a large tool but don't have a way to get it home, let us help with that, too. Check out our Load 'N Go rentals and rent a truck. Avoid taking up room in the driveway with an old pickup for the rare occasion of hauling items. Just rent what you need when you need it and keep your driveway open for hopscotch, grilling, or a game of catch.

How do I rent a tool or a truck?

Stop by the Rental Center at your nearest Home Depot to see what trucks or tools you can rent. If you want confirmation before you drive there, call first to inquire about a tool or truck. You might also visit our tool rental or truck rental pages to see if what you need is available at your store. For more details on renting tools, read these Tool Rental FAQs, including equipment terms and conditions.

Can I rent tools by the hour?

You can rent a tool for four hours or more. Simply choose the length of time that suits you. Small DIY projects may only require a rental that's a few hours long, and we can accommodate large projects as well. You've got options to rent tools by the week, day, or month, too. If you need it longer than what you signed up for, call your Rental Center to arrange an extension and avoid late fees.

When do I bring the tools back?

It's fine to return the tools early if you complete your project faster than planned, but on-time works, too. Just make sure to bring them back by the deadline listed on your rental paperwork. Please clean off mud and grime from the tool as well. If you need it longer, give the rental center a call to see if you can extend your rental period.

How long can I rent a truck?

Rent a moving van or truck for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes may be enough time. Otherwise, consider renting it by the day or the week, depending on how long your project is. Remember to factor in the drive to and from the store, as you'll need to return it to the same store where you rented it. Penske moving truck rentals allow one-way rentals as well as round-trip options, and they have different terms. Be sure to read the contract before you decide on a van.

Should I refill the rental truck before I bring it back?

Yes, please fuel up the truck before you bring it back. Match the level of gas that was in the tank when you received the rental. If you don't, you'll be hit with a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.

Do I just need a driver's license to rent a truck?

No, you also need to be 21 or older, in addition to holding a valid driver's license. Depending on your state, you may require car insurance, as well as a credit card hold or a deposit, too. We don't accept cash for Home Depot truck rentals, so please bring your credit card. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements, so read those if you plan to rent a Penske truck.
