    Poor check out service
    Hyannis has poor check out service, I am a contractor and have waited long times to check out and no one seems to care. Make sure you have plenty of time when going to this store. Many times self serve registers are off line. Overload in check out at lumber registers.

      A Bad installation of a brand new microwave oven
      The installation company damaged the internal exhaust fan of my brand new Kitchen Aid microwave oven (bent up the housing). I welcome a manager or supervisor to inspect the poor job and prepare to replace the unit immediately. It was clear that the installer did not read the directions, as he force opened the exhaust fan door! I am not happy at all, but I will allow a manager from Home Depot to inspect the poor installation and damage to my new microwave.

              Rich S., Nick, Larry and Mark are dedicated to customer Satisfaction. My experience was originally about to be very disappointing, as I was in need of multiple items that were supposed to be in stock and unfortunately were not. To say these folks went above and beyond would be the understatement of the year. Home Depot is LUCKY to have employees like these.

                  IN STORE IS THE WAY TO GO!
                  I bought a stove online. They never called prior to delivery. Called when they were in the driveway and refused to wait the 10 minutes for me to arrive. Instead, they pulled out as I was pulling in. Called Customer Service and they said they couldn't ask him to turn around. I promptly cancelled the order. Went to the Hyannis store and spoke with "John B' who was more than accommodating! I received a discount on the new stove, and he waited (after his shift ended) to make sure all was correct before he left. A+ customer service from him.

                          Can never count on the number of items in stock shown on the web site
                          Many time I have visited this HomeDepot and the quantity of items available listed on the web site is not close to the the amount of items I see or in above boxes.

                            Lumber can often be a hit or miss due to shortages. I came in for 14 varied lumber items and one requirement of two pieces was missing. After obtaining all other pieces, I noticed my missing item was just re-stocked. I could not have begun my project without these two items so I was VERY PLEASED to have them before leaving the store!

                              Manufacturer put wrong label on dehumidifier so inventory is inaccurate. Had to question price at register. Not store issue unless it is not addressed. Has a $30 rebate through electric company. Didn’t get the rebate form? Cashier was extremely helpful. Thanks Brian from Pro Desk.

                                    Terribly trained staff
                                    I went in to buy a ryobi pole saw. The only person in that section was a new hire very poorly trained non English speaking young man. Did not know the section at all walked me to the other side of the store to check out. Said he had to take me to the register so I could buy the product.

                                          Stock does not match where it was or maps during expansion renovation but it is becoming a much larger store and therefore a better option for search and final purchase.

                                            Professionalism is contagious
                                            I have owned and operate a local business in the neighborhood for 9 years. I felt compelled to tell my cashier that I have never seen our Home Depot operate more professionally than how it is being run now. Good management, and good training is infectious.                                                 Customer acknowledgment
                                                I suggest a Customer of the Month program to acknowledge persons who are easy, friendly and considerate to your emplyees. This could be in the form of a jacket and a picture on wall. Secondly, a luncheon for $50,000.00 contractors in the spring off site and present up coming discounts, sweep stakes etc.

                                                    Terrible store
                                                    First, there were too many dogs in this store. You should no allow them in the store. My wife is terribly allergic to them and they always seem to want to jump on her. She gave up and went back into the car while I shopped. She skipped the items she came to buy so you missed out on several sales. I came to purchase a few things and had a list with the items' locations I got from the web. Not one of them was where they were supposed to be. The first clerk I spoke with simply shrugged and walked on. The second had to look things up and still couldn't find them.

                                                      I had a problem with a patio door I purchased at the store. I received an incorrect door panel and when I returned it, they didn’t have the correct one in stock. The staff went out of their way to find the right panel at another HD store and had them hold it for me to pick up.

                                                          Our local Home Depot was recently renovated and enlarged. The new garden center is a hit. The store is so big you practically need a trolley to get from 1 end to another.

                                                            Went to Home Depot to buy what I thought I needed for car storage, specifically Styrofoam sheets to put under the tires to avoid flat spots. Explained this to an associate who talked me out of that approach and into using plywood which he suggested as a better (and cheaper) alternative. Worked with me in determining best size and cut accordingly. Kudos to Stephen in Lumber for being professional and patient!
