Very POOR Customer service.
I have been a loyal customer of HD for many many years with very few issues, and I will continue to shop at other locations. BUT NO LONGER AT THE LUBBOCK Loop 289 store.
I purchased 3 pallets of wood fence slats ( 700) and other items needed for this project, and when the crew finished the first of 3 pallets on the trailer, they told me that the 2nd pallet was a different wood and finish that would not look the same on the fence. I returned to the Lubbock HD and after the customer service person and the lumber employee ( Andrew) were unable to help I asked to speak to the store manager. Sandra showed up (I found out later that she wasn't the manager). I showed her a sample of both pallets and how different they were. Her response for the next 15 minutes was they have the same skew number, so they are the same. The didn't look at all the same. I returned that pallet the next day. I showed Andrew the two pallets left on the trailer next to each other. One the good wood and the other the bad one. There was 3+ inches difference in the height of the stack with exactly the same number of pieces in each pallet. No explanation, just walked away.
This is a very short version of the incident. I won't shop at this HD unless what I need isn't available at any other local store.
I plan on sending a letter to the actual store manager in Lubbock (Lisa Boyd) and to the corporate customer service manager.
There is no excuse for a manager of any rank to treat a customer like she did. I'm sure her story will be quite different. Other store employees and people at the construction site agreed that the wood was different and that I shouldn't use it.

Nice employees/cluttered store
I visit this store often, usually a few times a week. The employees are always nice and helpful. The store itself is an obstacle course. Several aisle impassable. Displays that carts can’t get around with moving the displays. Will call and lumber trash blocking aisle. Accordion barricades left closed when nobody is working the aisle. It makes it difficult to shop when you can’t turn a corner with your lumber cart because of the displays down the main aisle. Give us some space so we can shop.

Excellent Service
Christopher, Cody and Nicole in the kitchen design and appliances department provided great service! We went in three times during the Black Friday sales, researching and narrowing down our choice. Each of them were informative and friendly. Most of all they listened and made us feel like they really want to find the appliances that fit our needs and our budget! Great service! I would have given 5 stars, if I were only reviewing the employees! However, the wait was long at the store and several calls to ask questions rotated back to front desk. More employees are needed, especially during sales promotions!

Did not get refund for the retuned items!
They kept the items that I returned and told me my credit card will be credited with $70.
I did not get that money credited. What happened to the money???

Terrible return response
I bought a lawn mower online. It didn't work after using it 3 times so I called Customer Service. They said they'd make an exception to the 30 day return policy and put my money back on my credit card if I returned it, either shipping it back or taking it to a Home Depot. I made several trips to a store to return it and was told the Customer Service people gave me wrong info and they couldn't put the money back on my card. Each time I returned home and called Customer Service again. Two more times I was told to go back to the store and tell them they had to put the money back on my credit card. Finally on the 3rd call to Customer Service I was told "Oops" we made a mistake. The return rules are different when a lawn mower is returned to a store than when it's shipped back. They said they're sorry I followed their instructions but that's the way it is. So they have my lawn mower and they said I can only get my money if a buy a couple hundred dollars worth of things I don't need...and it has to be from that particular store.

Prodesk people are slacking
I have to come in regularly due to my line of work. I've noticed for about a month now the employees at the pro desk seem too busy to even acknowledge people standing there,let alone actually stop yip yapping and help somebody. There were six of us waiting to check out or place orders and one employee was actually checking someone out why three others a just standing there. I finally asked somebody to help me and come to find out it was the supervisor who turned around and looked at me like I was disturbing her. She then gave me attitude when telling me that somebody would be with me shortly. I thought Y'all treated customers better than that.i was shocked for a supervisor to act like that.

Locking Wheels force me to buy WAY LESS
I bought $166 worth of stuff that I could NOT carry and the wheels LOCKED on my cart when I tried to leave the store. Employee st check had NO solution except “good luck”

Curbside pickup
Very friendly helpers at curbside pickup. I made 2 pickups this weekend. One took over 20 minutes, the other one took about 5 minutes.

Greatest place on Earth
We were greeted by a newish employee Jamie in the Appliances Department - & have purchased a new French Door Fridge she made sure we got 1 with a water filter for the ice maker. We also purchased a washer & dryer combo. We are waiting for our handyman to tell us what date he can set up a new dishwasher we received & then we will purchase it as well.
Make sure you add on the 5 year warranty plans.

Woodworking
Took up woodworking during Covid. Spending more time doing small crafts to sell in craft shows and gifts for family. Learned most by using YouTube. Cannot always find a person that works there to answer but customers are always helpful. I like the location of the store.

Red head at pro customer service is top notch!!!
I came in needing a few things. y'all were out of one thing I needed. I found the closest employee which was a redhead at the pro counter. Man that girl has the absolute best customer service I have seen in many many years. Some lady with bangs and glasses kept trying to interrupt and overstep the redhead that was helping me and the redhead handled it with class and professionalism. Honestly the girl with glasses and bangs was very rude and snotty. She could learn a thing or two from the redhead. I will return to this particular Home Depot but I will probably only ever deal with the red head she deserves a raise.

Special order windows damaged; lack of accountability.
I ordered about 12,000 of special-order windows, multiple were severely scratched the store refused to take any accountability, I was more at fault for not picking up the order immediately than them for damaging the product, offered a mediocre discount or reordering the damaged windows but having to wait up to 8 weeks because they would not expedite an order. Supervisor that called me tried to downplay the amount of damage to the window, just complete lack of customer service I should've just ordered my windows from one of the other suppliers.

My go to place for all things home improvement.
My go to place for most of my home improvement needs. The store is situated in a way that makes it easier for me to find what I need. The employees are very helpful and usually know what they are talking about. I have spent way too much money at Home Depot.
