When it's time to make the leap into a big DIY project, you might not have everything you need to get the job done. Don't let that stop you when you can stop by The Home Depot Monticello Tool and Truck Rental Center.
Tool Rental
Start your next DIY project with confidence and the right tools for the job. Let The Home Depot Monticello Tool Rental Center fill in the gaps in your toolbox with the tools you don't have on hand. Rent the tools you need and bring them back when you're done. In fact, if you found the tools so useful that you didn't want to return them, we have used tools available for purchase. The retired rental tools are discounted compared to the new items in our aisles.
Leaf Blowers
Try renting a leaf blower to keep up with your yard. Fall will be here soon, so have a leaf blower ready to go. It's far less work than raking. It's also great to use on driveways, hardscaping surfaces, and concrete sidewalks. You can rent one of our walk-behind, handheld, or backpack leaf blowers.
Air Compressors
When renting pneumatic tools like nail guns, you'll need an air compressor to provide the power. Renting an air compressor means you save room in your garage while getting the best tools for your job. Choose from a gas or electric air compressor in the size that is right for your project.
Heaters
A comfortable room makes everything easier, so be sure to browse our heater rentals. Portable heaters keep barns, outdoor events, or workspaces warm. They're safer than torch patio heaters because they have no open flame, and they also blow hot air for more coverage. We carry electric, gas, and propane heaters in various sizes. Pair this with good outdoor lighting, and you can extend work or play later into the evening hours.
Truck Rental
To make it easier to transport large tool rentals, we keep pickup trucks as well as Penske moving trucks on hand, with availability varying by store. You're sure to find the right size truck rental for your DIY project so you can keep your timeline running smoothly. As your trusted source for DIY projects, packing, and storage needs, it's easy to make us your go-to source for transport and moving as well.
To get tools and transportation for your home improvement or DIY project, check out the Tool and Truck Rental Center in Monticello. Renting the appropriate tools for the job is important, so let us help. We're here to help you complete that home improvement project.
How do I rent a tool or a truck?
Stop by your local Rental Center to see what's available. If you'd like to be sure of what's in stock, call first to inquire about a tool or truck. You could also check out our tool and equipment rental or truck rental pages to see if what you need is offered at your favorite store. For more information on renting tools, read our Tool Rental FAQs, including equipment terms and conditions.
Can I rent tools by the hour?
You can rent a tool for four hours or longer. It depends on how long you'd like to rent them. Small DIY projects may only require a rental for a few hours, and bigger jobs aren't a problem either. You have options to rent tools by the day, week, or month, too. If you need it longer than anticipated, call the Rental Center to arrange an extension and avoid late fees.
When do I return the tools?
You can return the tools early if you finish your project sooner than predicted, but on time works, too. Just make sure to bring them back by the deadline listed on your rental paperwork. Please clean off any residual dust, mud, and grime from the tool as well. If you need them longer, give the rental center a call to see if you can extend your rental period.
Do saw rentals come with saw blades?
Yes, power saw rentals generally come with blades, but we do recommend that you purchase your own. Your rental likely won't come with a new blade. However, you might get lucky and receive an excellent blade on the saw. Since there's no guarantee, it's better to buy a suitable blade, just in case you need it.
Do I need to refill the rental truck with gas?
Yes, please fuel up the truck before you bring it back. Note the original fuel level when you receive the truck, and be sure to fill it with enough gas to match that same level. When you don't refill the truck, you have to pay a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.
Can I rent a truck with only a driver's license?
No, you must hold a valid driver's license and be 21 or older. Depending on your state, you may require car insurance, as well as a deposit or credit card hold, too. We don't accept cash for Home Depot truck rentals, so please bring your credit card. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements, so read those if you plan to rent a Penske truck.
