Why is there cold air coming in around the door?
If you have cold air seeping in under the door, you'll want to fix it to keep your house cozy and prevent higher heating bills. When a house settles unevenly, pieces that once fit snugly can go off-kilter. Gaps can form around the sides of doors or the thresholds may loosen with time. Fill the space with weather stripping or foam tape, and caulk any cracks in the wooden door frame. If you're still feeling drafts around the door, place an insulated fabric door snake along the ground.

What are good wintertime DIY projects?
When the temperatures drop outside, it's challenging to work outdoors. However, it may be an excellent time to clean up your indoor workspaces and house instead. A weekend cleaning and organizing the basement, shed, or garage will pay off when spring comes. You won't have to replace lost tools with new ones because you can find what you've got. Polish up the tools, clean the rest of the house with cleaning tools, and you'll be ready when the cold moderates and the sun comes out.

How do I prepare for freezing temperatures and snow?
When you live in a region where snow is possible, it's a good idea to upgrade or organize your snow removal equipment before a big storm hits. Have a gas can ready to top off your gas snowblower if it's not already filled for the season, or check the battery on your electric snowblower. Don't forget to get out the sleds for the kids, and prep ice melt or salt and a salt spreader. Make sure your outdoor taps are drained and covered, too, with all garden hoses disconnected. Simple steps like these keep you ready for whatever winter weather comes your way.

Are Kids Workshops offered at the N Greenbush Home Depot?
Yes, the N Greenbush store offers in-person Kids Workshops. These free in-store events take place every first Saturday of the month between 9am and noon. Registration for kids workshops is now available online and secures your spot at the event. Keep little doers engaged with a new kit pack for each event. Included in the kits are all necessary craft materials, as well as instructions, stickers, an apron pin, a certificate of achievement, and a Discovery Education extension activity. Paint and all other required tools are provided at the event. Kits may be ordered online at our Kids Projects Activities page or picked up in-store if you prefer to participate in the workshop from home. Call us or visit our customer service counter to order your kit.

How do I check the balance of my Home Depot gift card?
Gift cards to The Home Depot are a popular choice for any occasion or during the holiday season. DIYers know they're fun to give and to receive. You can purchase them at our brick-and-mortar stores or online at homedepot.com. If you're a recipient, you can visit your local Home Depot store and ask a cashier to check the balance for you or check your gift card balance online. Our gift cards can be redeemed in-store or used to make purchases online with no additional fees.

Good but will not try to help
Two times now I needed to return something once due to wrong size they said they could not help me order a new one and I could not use store credit to order a new one. They had to go back on my debit card so I have to wait and another time the demo saw we bought started melting down batteries and they said we had to deal with Milwaukee direct even with an extended warranty on the saw it was only three months old

      Great service
Bill in the paint department is one of the best folks you would ever work with at any home depot store in the capital district. Thanks for your service.

Self Checkout… like most places a joke
Woman there was awful. Needed help with items that didn’t have barcodes and she told me to go find a barcode or someone else to help her. She refused to lookup the item which the other person did with ease.

            Felt like an inconvenience
I went to make a copy of a key and pick up a few small items I needed. The associate that worked the key machine seemed extremely annoyed at me for needing a key, was very short with me about how many keys I needed, and dismissively tossed the finished key at me without another word. The worst customer service I've ever had at a Home Depot

              Anti-Veteran Depot
Perhaps it's time for all Veterans to consider driving the extra miles to go to a place that respects vets. Home depot's..."you get a discount if you can stand on your head at the register and find the secret code" proves they do not.

Customer Service is always Great !
Employees are always helpful. Unfortunately, the 4 cans of truckbed spray bed coating I purchased were dated 2019 and I didn't notice till I was all taped off and started to use one of the cans and it was a mess !! it didn't want to spray and I tried several times to shake and spray, no success. I opened a second can , same thing thats when I noticed the 2019 date. Obviously the stock had never been rotated and I purchased the last 4 cans of old material !!
