Our store diverts waste from landfills by accepting rechargeable batteries, plastic plant pots, CFLs, and lead acid batteries for recycling.
This store recycles all shrink wrap, contributing to the 780 million pounds that The Home Depot has sold to Trex in the past. This is used in composite decking, bringing us one step closer to a circular economy.
Since 2010, we have decreased electricity consumption by over 52% in our U.S. stores.
The Home Depot's core values are based on doing the right thing for our associates and customers, and this commitment extends beyond our stores to the environment and our local communities. We are your partners in environmental sustainability. Learn more about our commitment to economic responsibility.

What Halloween decor is the most popular?
Many families love Halloween and decorating with ghosts, pumpkins, witches, and of course, skeletons. Our best-selling Skelly, the giant 12-foot skeleton, is ready to watch over your yard. We've got Skelly accessories and Skelly's dog to keep him company this year. To keep with an all-skeleton theme, we have numerous other options that involve many bones and skulls. Stay dead-set on eerie fun with our Halloween skeleton decor. Halloween animatronics and inflatables are a quick and easy way to add spooky spirit when searching for outdoor Halloween decorations, too.
Why should I get a generator?
Having a generator means you're prepared year-round for whatever circumstances Mother Nature throws at you. Whether dealing with hurricanes, tornados, blizzards, severe thunderstorms, or strong winds, a portable generator lets you enjoy electricity when the elements knock it out. When considering different generators for sale, don't forget that portable generators are more affordable and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're louder and heavier. Always run your generators outdoors, away from doors and windows, for safety purposes.
Why should I repair my roof before the cold sets in?
Make sure your home is ready for cold weather by replacing any broken or faulty parts of your home and hardscaping. If water freezes in any crevices, you could be headed for trouble. On the outside of your home, examine metal roofs or roof shingles for rust or damage that could let water in. Gutters should be clear to prevent ice dams. Check cinder block and bricks for cracks, and verify indoor ceiling tiles are free from missing pieces and water damage. Lastly, change out vinyl siding and chimney caps if in poor condition.
What storage solutions do you offer?
As you prepare for the holidays, make extra space with storage solutions. Garage cabinets keep decorations, tools, and more out of the way. Moving blankets can shield fragile items. Shoe storage and other storage bins remove summer belongings from the equation. If you need even more room, a new shed can give you plenty.
How do I check my Home Depot gift card balance?
Home Depot gift cards are an excellent choice for the holidays, birthdays, and housewarming parties. DIYers know they're fun to receive and to give. Purchase gift cards online at homedepot.com or in our brick-and-mortar stores. If you're a recipient, you can check your gift card balance online or visit your local Home Depot store and ask a cashier to check the balance for you. Redeem our gift cards for online or in-store shopping, all with no additional fees.
