Can I rent a van?
Stop by your local Rental Center to see which vans or trucks you can rent. If you'd like to be sure of what's in stock, call first to inquire about renting a Load 'N Go moving van, flatbed truck, or pickup truck. Penske moving van rentals and moving trucks have different rules. You could also read our truck rental page to see if what you need is available at your favorite store.
Can I rent a truck for a few hours?
Rent a pickup truck, van, or flatbed truck for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes might be plenty. Otherwise, consider renting it by the day or the week, depending on how long your project is. Don't forget to factor in the drive to and from the store, as you must bring it back to the same store where you rented it. Penske moving truck rentals allow one-way rentals as well as round-trip options, and they have different terms. Be sure to read the contract and terms and conditions before selecting a van.
Do I need to refill the rental truck with gas?
Yes, please fill up the truck before you return it. Match the amount of gas that was in the tank when you received the rental. When you don't refill the truck, you'll have to pay a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.
Can I rent a truck with only a driver's license?
No, you must hold a valid driver's license and be 21 or older. Depending on your state, you may require car insurance, as well as a credit card hold or a deposit, too. We don't accept cash for Home Depot truck rentals, so please bring your credit card. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements, so read those if you plan to rent a Penske truck.
