Not sure if it's good or bad in the context of the kind of customers you generally have, but when I needed help, I kinda felt like I was one of the employees, judging by the way I was spoken to and my query handled; probably appreciate the no-nonsense, let's-get-it-done attitude, but felt a bit jarring. Also, can never find an associate when I need one, and when I do, they almost ALWAYS try to point me to another associate, and run for their lives. Any associate finally cornered and unable to escape responds extremely grimly and with obvious reluctance. I might not know as much as the average contractor who build houses, but I don;t think all your customers are contractors or builders, right? Or are you simply interested in just them?

Andrew Martin in the Kitchen and Bath Department is an asset to the San Mateo Store. He is very knowledgeable and helpful. I would recommend him to my friends, you definitely have a terrific employee and should be compensated We had gone to four different stores and Andrew won for his knowledge and expertise in his field!

Walked in for first time to store. Was helped by a store employee right away. Our Cashier, Reina, greeted us very nicely and very friendly. My wife and I were in and out quickly with great service. Will use this store in future.

Any time we work with Jaime at the desk it's a great experience. She is a rock star that always understands what we need and works hard to help us. Most everyone at the store in the aisles is great but she goes above and beyond to make our front desk experience and check out the best. Thanks Jaime and thanks Home Depot for having people like her.

The was a really welcoming atmosphere as most of the associates there had a smile. Bravo!

I needed a particular kind of paint for a particular application. Sales associate said they didn't have it and sent me to other paint stores. Other paint stores made recommendations that if the sales associate was better informed, he could have made too and I could have bought the product at HD. Sales associate was preoccupied with his merchandising task in his hands and wasn't too helpful. Cashier was bored and showed no customer service skills. I like HD, the prices and the way the store is organized, but if I need help, I seldom get really good help.

I am often intimidated by the size of Home Depot. I have tried to shop at Sears and Orchard, but their selection is so poor. I often find what I need only at Home Depot. The key for me is to find an associate to help me navigate thru the many isles.

Ruby was very helpful when checking out and assisted us with ensuring we were buying what we needed.

I placed an order online and picked it up at the store. The process, from beginning to end was easy and I received what I ordered in a timely fashion.

In and out for supplies... not a place to go and get something else done... Fair selection and a variety of prices... to fit all budgets...

I left an item at the self checkout area after paying for it and drove home. I was able to call the store and speak to Carlos who had helped me pay at the self checkout area. He had found my item and with my permission was able to credit it back to my credit card. He was so helpful and efficient.

THE STORE WAS CLEAN AND THE PROUDACTS WERE EASY TO FI[ND ALSO THE SALES PEOPLE WERE VERY HELPFUL

I needed assistance in buying potting, garden soil, mulch and cactus soil which are very heavy. The store associate which was new load them on the hand truck. After I paid for the items I was glad that the same associate was available to load the items in our truck since my husband has back trouble. He climbed up and organized the bags well. He was very pleasant and provided good customer service.

Sales associate Alex provided excellent customer service he was ready and willing to help with a positive attitude and great smile he has a wonderful personality and is all about helping the customer which I really appreciated I will defiantly come back to this Home Depot due to Alex's great customer service!

I NEEDED TO RENT A PAINT SPRAYER TODAY. WHEN I ARRIVED AT THE STORE RENTAL DEPT. I WAS IMMEDIATELY GREETED BY AN ASSOCIATE NAMED NATHAN. HE WAS PLEASANT AND HELPFUL,HE ANSWERED ALL MY QUESTIONS AND OFFERED TO HELP ME TO MY CAR. WHAT WONDERFUL CUSTOMER

I always enjoyed Home Depot in Santa Rosa because the associates were so accessible. The San Mateo store now has that level of service. The cashier was terrific -

Our previous dishwasher was no longer working and we were able to find a replacement quickly and arrange delivery within a week. The salesman even remembered a coupon which gave us an added discount. Super service.

I shop both at the San Carlos store and the San Mateo store, depending on where I am at the time. They both are great, except the San Mateo store is a lot neater and less crowded, whereas the San Carlos store has a lot more contractors coming in, and they can devistate a store buying materials in the morning, so it may be a lot harder to keep neat. Both are great.

There was a SINGLE HD associate in the ENTIRE garden center on a busy afternoon. This was totally unacceptable altho the cashier did his best.

I found the products I needed immediately. Asked once for help and clerk was knowledgeable and helpful. Shovels were right in front of us and the planter box was a good price as was the shovel. .

Have purched a sliding patio door and shower door. Associate was exteremely helpful with setting up appointment and info on your custom doors and installation services. Recently visited your garden area and it was spectactular. All the plants were gorgeous. The displays were well thought out and were easy to find. Every thing was priced and and I might mention a good value. Your Garden Department manager should be commended on a beautiful job very well done.

Cluttered, check-out lines closed, associates either not around or clueless

Shirley was my cashier and sales associate in the Lawn and Gardern department. Many people were asking her questions, but she was always pleasant and very helpful. She was knowledgeable and patient.

UNFORTUNATELY, THE CASHIERS ARE NOT WELL VERSED WITH THE STORE PRODUCTS IN THE GARDEN CENTER. VERY DISAPPOINTING

I have had to buy paint products recently, and the associates in that department have been very helpful with suggestions and advise.
