Paint Dept helped me!!
I was trying to use red Oak for a windowsill. They were out of white Oak at another store. Erica in the paint department is amazing! I brought in a piece of the red oak and she helped me test out some stains to try to neutralize the red. She was so happy to help me and she is so knowledgeable about the products in her department. Because of her help, I was able to neutralize the red and the wood and match our flooring perfectly! Thanks again!!

          Tiny aisles
          It has become a burden to shop in this store due to the smaller aisles and all the merchandise that is stacked in the middle of them. Only 1 cart wide in many areas and bigger aisles are jam packed with merchandise that creates the same 1 cart wide situation.

            Always meets my needs
            Always has the items I’m looking for. On my last shopping trip, I needed a water filter for my refrigerator and a water filter for my faucet. I found both of them. It is very rare that I go to Home Depot for a particular item and I can’t find it. Staff are friendly, professional, and readily available for questions. Great place to shop!

                GREAT HELP, GREAT PERSON
                My wife and I were purchasing a washer, dryer and refrigerator for our daughter and son in law for the new home. Ms. Dianne McArthur, was working in the appliances area and was OUTSTANDING!! Extremely helpful, knowledgeable, supportive.

                  Great and very helpful staff!
                  Here in TN for the past 3 months from Oregon having cancer treatment. I shopped numerous times day & night. EVERY TIME!, ALL staff members were extremely helpful & kind! I wish our Roseburg, Oregon Home Depot were as helpful, knowledgeable and kind! Springhill Home Depot is an amazing example of quality Customer Service!

                      Worst customer service possible!
                      I haven’t shopped at HD in over a year. The only reason I went is I was given a gift card for HD. The last time I shopped at the store I bought a brand new vanity pulled from the shelves. I brought it home opened it, set it and the top was bad. I emailed the manufacturer, who told me to return it. When I returned it, there were no more in stock at the store. The cashier got the manger to see what could be done. The only option was to order a new one online. The problem is, the online vanity was about 550 I bought mine on sale for about 300. The manager refused to honor the price I paid at the store offered 100 off the online vanity. This means I would now have to pay 450 for the vanity I just paid 300 for. I refused, told the manager I would never shop at the store again and tell everyone to not shop at HD either. I have no plans to ever shop at HD again and will continue to everyone else to not shop there either. I guess it was worth $150 to the manager to lose customers and promote a horrible customer experience.

                          Quality products, lacks service.
                          I am working on a fairly large project. And do quite a bit of construction work. I find this store to always be neat and fairly well in stock. Lumber quality and hardware and tool selection are better than your largest competitor. Staffing always seems to be an issue in your store. I wouldn’t say the staff is unfriendly, however, I very seldom am greeted or ask if I need any help. The staff just always seems to be busy with very little time for customer service. Cash register seemed to be a thing of the past. And I guess I would say I’ve kind of gotten used to self check out. It is a bit inconvenient to park at the front door and go to self check out and find the exit 200 yards from where you’re parked. To be honest, I spent 40 years in the home improvement space. I started sweeping floors and was a loader and worked my way up to head of store operations in your largest competitor. Later, becoming the CEO of another competitor. Having competed against Home Depot for years, I always respected the loyal following of their customer base. Staffing is a challenge for everyone. Customer engagement is tough for employees when you have a large to do list and not a lot of help. I believe figuring this out could be the greatest competitive advantage for someone in the space. Productivity and execution are always gonna be a challenge, but will always set you apart. They always say Culture Trump‘s strategy. Home Depot has had a rich history as it relates to culture. Customer count is tough and you must rely on marketing and customer engagement to maximize your ticket. I do feel a lack of management presence on the sales floor, driving customer customer engagement is key to maximizing customer satisfaction, and average ticket. I do hope I do hope you find this information useful. Always happy to help.

                            Robin saved the visit
                            My daughters purchased a item for Xmas. The correct item arrived but it didn't have the functionality required. I returned it to the Sprin Hill, TN store. Although the website said there was one item left. We couldn't find it. Robin helped be reurn the online item and order the correct item. It would have been a horrible experience. Robin showed the right amount of empathy and knowledge to prevent frustration on my end.

                              Excellent service.
                              We bought a Fridgedaire refrigerator last June, 2025. Started having problems in August. After several service calls and discussions, we were granted return and replacement. Diane, an associate at the Spring Hill Home Depot went above and beyond to help resolve this problem. Because of her diligence, we purchased a GE French door refrigerator. Diane is definitely a huge asset at the Spring Hill Home Depot.

                                    Poor customer service
                                    Poor customer service! Employees will watch you load heavy products by yourself and will never ask to help. You walk through the store and employees just look at you like you might bother them. Worst store I ever been in and will never go back!

                                      I bought a 21 inch , Yardmax gasoline, push mower
                                      I bought the mower to be picked up at the store. Everything that Home Depot did was good. The mower is a Yardmax 170 cc. This is not a criticism of Home Depot but I'm not real pleased with the assembly instructions that were included with the mower. Again, that's not a Home Depot problem but I'm not real happy with the product itself right at the moment.

                                            My positive experience with a manager named Ken...!!!
                                            I would like to commend a manager at the Spring Hill, TN store location. His name is Ken. I had a return request that was over 30 days. Ken could not do a refund ("store card") because of company return policy and could have sent me on my way, but he said he could help me with a "bigger" discount beyond my normal military 10% discount (thank you Home Depot for that!). I selected two items that I needed and would have bought with a "store card" had I got a refund. So although I did not get a refund on my "over 30 day" item, Ken worked with me to keep me happy! I hope and request that Ken is informed of this write-up and I just want to say to Ken and Home Depot - "thank you" for all you do! Regards, LTC (ret.)
