Did you know?

This store helps divert waste from landfills by accepting CFLs, lead acid batteries, rechargeable batteries, and plastic plant pots for recycling
This store recycles all shrink wrap, contributing to the 780 million pounds that The Home Depot sold to Trex last year. This is used to manufacture composite decking, bringing us one step closer to a circular economy.

What additional precautions is The Home Depot taking in light of COVID-19?
The adjusted hours give stores the ability to staff appropriately and provide additional time to restock shelves and perform cleaning. As part of our normal practice, our stores and other facilities are cleaned and sanitized daily. Following guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), we've increased the frequency of cleaning and general hygiene maintenance in stores and other locations. We've also stepped up our efforts to disinfect high-traffic and high-touch areas like self-checkout, door handles, and bathrooms, as well as posting signage about handwashing and other preventative actions.
We're promoting social distancing in our stores and distribution centers, which includes stores limiting the number of customers inside at any given time. In addition to training our associates on social distancing, we've placed distancing markers at some of our checkout counters and are making overhead announcements on our store PA systems asking customers to practice social distancing.

Is The Home Depot Springfield Gardens hiring?
As an essential retailer, we're hiring seasonal associates in Customer Service/Sales, Store Support, Freight, and Merchandising. We’re taking measures to keep our associates and customers safe, including providing face coverings and gloves, limiting the number of customers in stores at one time, promoting social and physical distancing practices, and implementing additional cleaning measures to sanitize facilities. Apply now. The Home Depot® is an Equal Opportunity/M/F/Vet/Disabled Employer.

This store lacks customers Awareness and attentiveness the employees that are positive have and understanding of store and the customer needs are not empowered to display those great customer services skills. Most the time your playing hit or miss when you walk in the store the differently a lot of training that required to the employees across the board for mangers to the night stock personnel. The store does reflect the the support to community that it serves there’s always a problem with the delivery guys blocking up the loading are and they don’t work for Home Depot the lost prevention guy is always on his phone and went he isn’t on and attempting to do his job he’s look more like he’s harassing and targeting rather then surviving and monitoring most of the time I Prefer to go the valley stream home vs the Springfield with is closer to me. The experience is normally not best.

From the stand point of customer service; I cannot honestly give any good grade to this store. The items being sought is often available but to find them, it takes a lot since you are at your own. There is often no one to help, employees seem to be busy at something other than being available to help you. As much as I have visited this place in the past, I have never seen any manager or anyone responsible engaging customers; or redirecting employees. It is my uninformed opinion that the staff doesn't get focused training. They have no clue has to speak to people nor how to say thank you. And don't make a mistake and ask them how they are doing. i understand one can blame the location as it is often done but above all, the manager has to have a higher standard. A few words, most of the employees act like they are being forced to work. If I am given a choice- I will not go to this store.

Home Depot's Springfield location gets 5 stars. The staff's customer service is excellent. Kimberley [Customer Service] is employee of the year in my book. Home Depot is lucky to have her.

The Store is a little small for this neighborhood that is on the rise, but it has the potential to grow and serve us. The name should be changed to Home Depot Annex cause its not big enough. Anyway that's my opinion. The staff is very knowledgeable and willing to help when one ask for assistance and if they don't know they try to get someone who does just so you the customer is.
