the store was clean and the employees were helpful

My husband and I normally do not shop at Home Depot. This year, however, we donated our Christmas tree and found the perfect replacement at Home Depot. It's a beautiful tree and the price was perfect. The store, however, is laid out poorly and feels extremely cluttered and claustrophobic - ironic for a big box home improvement store where there is generally a ton of space. The worst part of our visit this past weekend is that there were only two non-self checkout registers open and they were are the far, opposite end as the self checkout registers. My husband carried the large, heavy Christmas tree box down to the registers to checkout only for us to wait in line for seven minutes while our cashier helped her neighboring cashier with a "computer problem". The lines at both registers were long and people were waiting quite some time before our cashier "suggested" we all go down to the self checkout registers while they fixed the problem. As far as I could tell, no manager had been called to fix the register that was having problems - it was just two cashiers trying to figure something out while customers waited. My husband then had to carry the tree all the way back across the store just to checkout. No employees offered to help. This visit just cemented why we don't typically shop Home Depot.

My husband and I have been contemplating a new stove for 4 months. We had looked in Columbus, Dayton and Huber Heights, only to end up back in Springfield. We went to appliances at Home Depot and my husband spoke to Johnny D. who was very knowledgeable and guided us to the convection oven that worked best for us. I couldn't be happier with my choice.

The personal attention I received from Roger and Jim B. in the tool department and at the cash register was very good. Every time I shop at Home Depot, I am impressed at the level of customer service. Everyone seems to go out of their way to help me. I really appreciate that. 99 percent of the time, the products a I need are in stock and they present a large variety of options in many cases. Great store

Johnny D, is our "go to" guy for all of our appliance needs. This store is close to home and we always shop here first!

I truly enjoy walking into Home Depot and having the staff greet me and ask if I need help finding anything. Most of the time, I am just in to find something small or to just window shop. Now some may find that annoying but I would rather have been acknowledged than to be ignored. And the staff are truly pleasant and helpful. While checking out in the garden center, I had used a gift card. The remaining balance was for $1.32. When my husband asked if I had a nickel and penny. Alexandria (cashier) offered the nickel that she had found while sweeping earlier. Truly enjoy the staff at this Home Depot!

THE RETURN CLERK IS UNABLE TO DO SIMPLE MATH. WITH THE COMPUTER YOU WOULD THINK IT COULD FIGURE IT OUT FOR HER.

I needed a particular plumbing washer I couldn't find. An associate noticed I was looking and asked if she could help. When I explained what it was I was looking for, she knew immediately what and where it was; didn't just say "down this isle" she took me there and handed it to me. Great customer service

I love going to this store! It was so easy to find someone to help me and keep me from making the wrong purchase. Not only did the associate take me to the product he told me difference between what I thought I needed and what I really needed. Left on my own I'd have bought the wrong thing and would have made a trip back to the store. He saved me lots of time and money!

Doug was very helpful at the tool department and WILLING to answer the questions I had about job site/home radios, hand and table top planers. Was pleasant to talk to and wanted me to go away with knowledge and questions answered. No intimidation or lack of interest in customer here.
