When it's time to make the leap into a big DIY project, you might not have everything you need to get the job done. Don't let that stop you when you can stop by The Home Depot Tustin Tool and Truck Rental Center.
Tool Rental
Start your next DIY project with confidence and the right tools for the job. Let The Home Depot Tustin Tool Rental Center fill in the gaps in your toolbox with the tools you don't have on hand. Rent the tools you need and bring them back when you're done. In fact, if you found the tools so useful that you didn't want to return them, we have used tools available for purchase. The retired rental tools are discounted compared to the new items in our aisles.
Leaf Blowers
Try renting a leaf blower to keep up with your yard. Fall will be here before you know it, so have a leaf blower at the ready. It's far less work than raking them into piles. It's also great to use on driveways, hardscaping surfaces, and concrete sidewalks. Clear your yard by using handheld, backpack, or walk-behind leaf blowers.
Insulation
If you need to prep your home for cooler weather, consider upgrading your insulation. Rent specialized equipment for insulation to install it efficiently. Choose from a cellulose insulation blower or a fiberglass blower, and get those nooks and crannies insulated. Installing insulation helps to keep your home cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter, all while tempering your heating and cooling bills.
Heaters
If you dislike working or being outside in cooler temps, browse our heater rentals. Portable heaters keep outdoor events, barns, or workspaces warm. They're safer than torch patio heaters because portable heaters have no open flame, and they also blow the hot air for greater coverage. We carry propane, gas, and electric heaters in various sizes. Pair this with good outdoor lighting and a jacket, and you can extend work or play well into the evening hours with the extra warmth.
Truck and Cargo Van Rentals
To make it easier to transport large tool rentals, we keep cargo vans and trucks ready for rental, with availability varying by store. Choose the correct size for your DIY project so you can keep your timeline running smoothly. As your source for storage, packing, and DIY, it's easy to make us your go-to source for truck rental as well.
To get tools and transportation for your home improvement or DIY project, check out The Home Depot Tool and Truck Rental Center in Tustin. Renting the appropriate tools for the job is important, so let us help. We're your one-stop shop to get from doing to done.
How do I rent tools and trucks?
Stop by your local Rental Center to see which tools or trucks you can rent. If you'd like to know what's in stock, call first to inquire about a tool or truck. You could also check out our tool and equipment rental or truck rental pages to see if what you need is offered at your local store. For more information on renting tools, read our Tool Rental FAQs, including equipment terms and conditions.
Can I rent a tool by the hour?
You can rent a tool for four hours or longer. It depends on how long you'd like to rent them. Small DIY projects may only require a rental for a few hours, and we can accommodate large projects as well. You have options to rent tools by the day, week, or month, too. If you need it longer than your initial rental period, call the Rental Center to arrange an extension and avoid late fees.
When do I need to return the tools?
You can return the tools early if you finish your project sooner than predicted, but on time works, too. As long as you return it by the deadline you were given when you rented it, you'll be good to go. Please clean any residual dust, mud, and grime from the tool as well. If you need them longer, call the rental center to see if you can extend your rental period.
Do saw rentals come with saw blades?
Yes, power saw rentals generally come with blades, but we do recommend that you purchase your own. Your rental likely won't come with a new blade. However, you may luck out and have a sharpened blade on the saw. Since there's no guarantee, it's better to purchase a suitable blade, just in case you need it.
Should I refill the rental truck before I bring it back?
Yes, please fill up the truck before you return it. Note the original fuel level when you receive the truck, and be sure to fill it with enough gas to match that same level. When you don't refill the truck, you have to pay a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.
Can I rent a truck with only a driver's license?
No, you must hold a valid driver's license and be 21 or older. Depending on your state, you might require car insurance, as well as a deposit or credit card hold, too. Please bring your credit card for Home Depot truck rentals, as we don't accept cash. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements, so review those if you plan to rent a Penske truck.
