Can I rent a Penske moving van?

If you'd like confirmation before you drive there, call first to inquire about renting a Load 'N Go pickup truck, cargo van, or flatbed truck. Penske moving truck rentals and moving vans have different rules. You could also read our truck rental page to see if what you need is in stock at your store.
Can I choose how long to rent a truck?
Rent a pickup truck, van, or flatbed truck for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes might be plenty. Otherwise, consider renting it by the day or the week, depending on how long your project is. Be sure to factor in the drive to and from the store, as you'll need to return it to the same store you rented it from. Penske moving truck rentals allow round-trip options as well as one-way options, and they have different terms. Make sure to read the documentation before selecting a truck.
Do I need to refuel the rental truck when I'm done?
Yes, please fuel up the truck before you bring it back. Make a note of the fuel level when you receive the truck, and be sure to fill it with enough gas to match that level. If you don't, you'll have to pay a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.
Do I just need a driver's license to rent a truck?
No, you also need to be 21 or older, in addition to holding a valid driver's license. Depending on your state, you may require car insurance, as well as a deposit or credit card hold, too. Please bring your credit card for Home Depot truck rentals, as we don't accept cash. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements, so read those if you plan to rent a Penske truck.
