Anyone flush a toothbrush down their toilet lately? I did! And I was scared to tell my apartment maintenance about it since they charge us for major repairs. It isn't honest but I was planning on buying a toilet auger to try and shove it through to the big pipe behind my toilet plumbing for the whole apartment complex so I didn't have to deal with the cost of repairs I was expecting. All YouTube videos/online articles say for this problem the entire toilet has to be removed off of the floor. *ugh* I went with a heavy heart to Home Depot to see what tools and advice I could find. I have never had any experience fixing anything before in my home and Terry from lumber not only left his department to come help me but was so nice and patient and took the time to educate me on what I needed to know to fix my problem. I told him the dishonest idea I had and he was not judgemental at all but offered a brilliant and new idea that no one else had before. Instead of letting me buy a $16 auger he sold me a $6 grabber tool that can be used for clogs in any drain(aka used again for other purposes in tub and sink drains as well). He walked me over to the area where toilets are sold and showed me the physical design and speculated and encouraged me to try this idea first as it was a good chance it was retrievable with this gadget. I thanked him and went on my way! God blessed that idea and after a prayer and God's favor with this cool tool I got out the flushed toothbrush after 5 minutes of trying! Oh I almost forgot! He also showed me a pro-tip about this tool that helped me so much. He helped me see that when it grabs onto something it doesn't retract as far so I will know when I have got it. Terry, you're the man! Home Depot is blessed to have you! I hope many people can fix this problem in their homes just as easily as I did! The tool is by PF Water Works and model # is PF0405

Doing early Christmas shopping and purchased a leaf blower. Had a hard time getting help in the mower/lawn care department. Finally Morgan from customer service, who had tried to get me someone to help me multiple times, came to check on me and took it upon herself to help me personally. She couldn’t answer all my questions, nor did I expect her to, but took the time to make sure I was satisfied with my purchase. Thank you again Morgan!!

We went into this store with limited hopes of finding what we needed. Every staff person we encountered was friendly and heloful. We used the store app and it was easy to use and successfully directed us to the correct locations. We learned one item was available only online. The cashier offered to help us get it ordered for delivery. We found everything else on our list. Thank you for a great shopping experience! Thank

I can’t remember what I bought, or why I’m writing this

This time the purchase was great. Last time it was terrible due to the fact of 2 different customers returns. #1 - a sliding window was cracked. I installed it and was trying to figure out why it didnt slide good. Removed from the frame and it was cracked at the roller. Had to take a pic to show HD but had to leave in the frame for the customer until the new one comes in. The customer service lady ordered the wrong side. So it took a 3rd time. #2- another customer needed a new bottom sash for a dbl hung from 14 yrs ago. I told her I needed the bottom sash without the locks attached so I can make sure the get drilled and put in the rights spots. It came with the locks on and they didn't line up with the upper sash lock catches. So ordered again and she ord. the top sash. And I told her I can't use it. She told me she called Am. Craftsman and they told her the top sash works for the lower. I told her its not possible. After talking to Jake in the window area , he agreed it can't work and thought we had it all set. But no, another upper sash came in. So 4th time I got a lower sash but had locks on it again. And they didn't line up. So I got them to at least drop the cost to the customer but for me , it cost me 4 trips on one and 3 trips on the first one. The manager said he would at least get me a $200 HD CARD but I never got anything and these customers were not close to HD. This is what happens when people from the depts who know the product are not allowed to do any of the cust returns and orders and it has to go through a customer service person who has no knowledge of the product. So I lose out on about $600 of time and gas to satisfy my customers.

I bought a refrigerator a month ago a month ago and I hate it. No one could answer any questions. Same with the dishwasher I just bought. I will say the guy who was paged to help me with a lightbulb knew his stuff. Why can’t appliance people speak at least semi-knowledgeable about appliances?

Odds and ends keeping everything up and running So much crap on the floor….displays, product, deals…..so much crap on the floor it’s difficult maneuvering through with out a cart load of sh&t

My toilet wasn't marked to be picked up and delivered and installed. Now I have to wait longer.

No one was available to help out 40 pound bags of soil into my cart :/

I came to the Home Depot to purchase a piece of treated lumber. I asked an associate for assistance and Rob stopped what he was currently doing to help me. Rob found me a piece of lumber thick enough for the project I wanted to complete, but then cut it to the specific dimensions that I needed. He was so kind throughout the whole process and never made me feel like I was an inconvenience. When I receive great customer service, I always like to let the employer know so they can bring recognition to that individual. It is because of experiences like this that cause repeat visits and loyalty to your store.

April, in the kitchen dept. went above and beyond being patient in selection of products for my whole kitchen remodel.

Had to ask for help 3 times and wait over 25 minutes before someone showed up. Unacceptable

Even though I forgot that I had purchased the amount of insulation needed to get a free rental of the blower from a different store, they still allowed me to redeem the purchase at this Grandville store. Everyone was friendly and helpful and the whole process was painless.

Arrived on time installed quickly and neat, very professional. Will use again

I got helped by two people at this location. I did not have to go looking for anyone, they were just there to help when I needed it. I appreciate that since the store is huge and finding things can be tricky. Thank you Trianna and Alex for stepping in and helping me get my garden fencing materials. Now, I just need to get all those seedlings planted!

I really like Home Depot. There are people with experience you can ask and they will guide you. This is probably the feature I like the most.

The store is nearby so when I make the multiple walks of shame it doesn’t take long to drive there and back, and there and back, and there and back again. I should probably work there. I like that there’s usually someone who can help if needed, if only to console me on my walk of shame. And the partnership with AAFES is a great deal.

The main top fits great but the square top that goes on the top is too small for our metal frame work. It was supposed to fit a 10 x 10. I need some ideas about how to fix it.

They had a great deal on a 1/2" 20V MAX XR Impact Wrench Set that I needed to remove some suspension bolts on a car, worked out great. The set included the wrench, 5.0Ah battery, charger, and carrying bag.

I wanted to specifically commend the associate in the building material/lumber department named Rob. He was incredibly helpful, proactively assisting me with loading sheets of wood on to my cart. His politeness and willingness to help were truly appreciated. Additionally, the two cashiers, Amber and Amy, were fantastic. They were friendly, efficient, and went above and beyond to ensure I was taken care of. The exceptional service I received from Rob, Amber, and Amy made my shopping trip a pleasure. This Home Depot has people that care about if you find what you are looking for. Not only will they give you directions but quite often they will take you to the spot.

I have been in many Home Depot stores from California to Florida Store 2748 is the best by far. The store mangers from Mike Trudel to Jana are aways accessible. The staff is very friendly and willing to help whenever needed. This store is the best.

I bring a lot of customers to this Home Depot they have the best customer care service I have ever seen. And the only place I shop over all of there competitors
