Nantucket Gray Wall Boards (8 Pieces per Box) provide the look of salvaged barn wood boards seen in coastal areas or along country roads, that have been exposed to the elements for years, when in fact they are new, solid Hardwood boards. The process for coloring our product is all natural and eco-friendly, free of hazardous chemicals or solvents. The paint used on our product is low VOC. They are kiln dried for added stability. These boards can be used in several applications both residential and commercial. Residential applications for Wall Boards range from use as wall paneling in accent walls, wainscot paneling, and furniture making. They can also be used in smaller home decor projects such as bed headboards, shelving, and other small design elements like wall art and framing. Commercial applications include indoor signage and display areas, accent walls, and other architectural and design elements. Is it a hard wood? And what type
Yes. It is solid Poplar.
I saw it should not be used where theres mositure but can it be used in a half bathroom that does not have a shower/tub.
Half baths or powder rooms are fine. You may choose to seal the boards with a non-water-based sealer, to extend their beauty and durability. You are correct. We do not recommend installing them in high moisture areas. Natural wood products may warp over time.
Are the darkest stained pieces in the multicolored box the same as the all anthracite 8 piece box? I currently have accent wall done with the multicolor but need trim for doors etc in only the darkest color to match
We looked into this and compared samples. You can use the Anthracite boards as trim. They will match the darkest boards in the multi-colored box - Weathered Wall Boards.
What color would work best for painting the wall prior to using the white wash boards?
A light gray or iight beige works nicely. White is fine too.
Can I secure these direct to studs
Yes, we encourage them to be secured directly to studs.
Can this product be used for covered outdoor ceiling
This is not guaranteed as an exterior product. But, a lot of people have used it as a porch ceiling as long as it's covered and have not had many complaints about it.
can i stain boards?
Yes you can use a stain on the wheat wallboards. We suggest an oil based stain for best results. But also use a small area to test your stain first
Can I use it on a bathroom wall?
No, we do not recommend using this product anywhere that moisture is present.
