Problem Solved for wood anchoring
Sammy's Rod Anchors solve headscratching dilemmas time and time again, these Model No. 8007957 anchors provide a secure connection for 3/8ths threaded rod with its female fitting on the screw head. The coarse threads of this fastener grip solidly into the wood and secure a tight connection between the wood base and the rod. Stout, easy to usel and code compliance, it is the ideal choice for your basement or overhead pipe hanging, fire protection and electrical conduit applications. Anchors are easy to install with an Impact rated Nut Driver and overall length of the anchor is 1 inch.
You can use these and 3/8ths allthread to make storage racks or various other garage related organiztion or even attic organization, the possiblities are endless.

Good little idea..
Sammy 1/4 in. x 1 in. Vertical Rod Anchor Super Screw 3/8 in. Threaded Rod Fitting for Wood (25-Pack) is a great idea to Anchor anything to the ceiling etc and remove as needed. I have used it to hang little heavy stuff on to the ceiling but can easily be removed later if needed. So it is working great and no regrets. I would certainly recommend to anyone who is looking for such removable hanging objects

The best
I used these for two projects, well one really as they used for the same reason. First I bought a length of threaded 3/8 rod and then cut it to size and screwed the rod anchor them in to the basement wood joist using Sammy’s compatible Sammy's #14 black nut drivers. (This is NOT supplied with this box of screws) Then I did the same to the inside of the garage roof.
In both cases the results were excellent initially I thought the prices of these were high but I got to admit, they are extremely well made. They are really first class. I thought at first that should at least drill a pilot hole but I stuck to the instructions and was satisfied that I did not need one. They drive in easily and once in, they will stay there
Then all it took was some lengths of hard wood and connected them to the anchors I had installed and finished with some 3/8 nuts and washers, Now I have my long awaited suspended secure shelves. The good wife said “Oh that’s good, now you collect even more junk to stack up on the shelving”
