AttiCat insulation maintains R-value over time and provides temperature and sound control. The attic is 1 of the easiest places to add insulation to improve the comfort and energy efficiency of your home. AttiCat Expanding Blown-In Insulation is designed for your attic insulation project in new or existing homes. The specially designed AttiCat machine conditions the insulation by adding millions of tiny air pockets that give the material its insulating power and energy-saving R-value over time. Blowing the insulation should take less than 1.5-hours and the whole job can be completed in less than 4-hours based on a 1,000 sq. ft. attic at R-30.

Hello DIYer, We recommend that you verify your Local Building Code. Your Local Building Code will provide the recommended R-value for your application in addition to providing recommendation or requirements regarding vapor retarders or the use of faced insulation products. Thank you for your inquiry.
There are YouTube videos on how to do this. Basically, put some of the insulation into a plastic tub, fluff it up, and then you can "fling it" where you want.
Hello Kent, we do not recommend the installing the AttiCat by hand. The AttiCat needs to be blown through the machine for the product to be properly conditioned and to achieve the coverage and R-values listed on the packaging. Thank you for your inquiry!
Hello Matt, for rental availability and scheduling, please contact the store you are looking to obtain the machine from. Thank you for your inquiry!
Hello Nick, Please check with your local Home Depot store to verify their guidelines for machine rental. Thank you for your inquiry.
10, you can see this in one of the images. Does require a machine deposit.
Go to the owens corning website, there is info there that gives a listing of R-value vs. inches depth vs. number of bags per 1k sq feet. Why home depot doesnt have that on their site is beyond me.
Hello midwestpete, the 110.7 square foot coverage is for a R-19 which is 7" deep. Please see link below to the data sheet which provides a coverage chart at different R-values and thicknesses. https://dcpd6wotaa0mb.cloudfront.net/mdms/dms/Residential%20Insulation/10011273/10011273-AttiCat-Product-Data-Sheet.pdf?v=1748610884000 Thank you for your inquiry!
Hello James, to achieve a R-19 with AttiCat Insulation, you would need 7" of material. Please see link below to the data sheet which contains coverage information. https://dcpd6wotaa0mb.cloudfront.net/mdms/dms/Residential%20Insulation/10011273/10011273-AttiCat-Product-Data-Sheet.pdf?v=1748610884000 Thank you for your inquiry!
Hello, Owens Corning does not recommend using the AttiCat Machine for a wall application. We feel that the air velocity the machine can create may not be sufficient enough for a consistent application through a wall cavity. Thank you for your inquiry!
Contact a insulation company who blows in the owens corning equivalent professional version. They cut in 1.5 or 2 inch holes and blow it in with a much more powerful machine that is inside a big box truck. They do quick work and you patch holes after.
Hello Johnny, The installation of Insulation is not a means to correct air leakage. To discuss best options for your insulation needs please contact Owens Corning at 1-800-Get-Pink (438-7465) Monday-Friday 8am-6pm EST. Thank you for your inquiry!
you want to plug leaky areas with something like spray foam as a ton of heat can escape through open air flow. Unless you have something to block the flow the product tends to blow right through especially if you are shooting for denser pack.
