It was not readily available at my East coast store either. The kit will arch one door way. It comes with two pieces that will arch your door way. Ship to store is what I did. Came a little sooner than expected I believe.
Depends. If you remove said door maybe. Then frame in. But in our case the pocket door had one wall side of knotty pine so Sheetrock and mud was not an option. Works best when both sides are able to be Sheetrocked and mud up to it. You will need the bendable edging for corners.
Might work but curves are curves.
We have used to round corners at top of wall (dropped 16" partition down from ceiling to create open arch) of a 6 foot span. Looks just fine. We aren't ready to drywall yet but can see it will finish very nicely.
No, but you can order a custom arch through the manufacturer.
Thank you Ben, it does, and I agree, rounded looks better in this case
3 1/2" is smaller than 3 9/16" by 1 /16" of an inch so the drywall will not stick out further.
These worked great, I have my arched door way. Now to drywall which will be more time consuming.
