Your selection of ducting should be according to your building codes in your area.
Absolutely, works great. I ran it from the 1st floor to the roof. However, you should check the local building code for any specific requirement that your municipality has.
No, it doesn't come with clamps.
Some SKU numbers do and some do not.
This product does not come with clamps. They can be purchased separate under part# MC4HD
No, I bought it, I think around $3.00
No
Don't understand the reference to "manipulated over...". Please clarify or include a picture. I can state that the pipe is flexible and can be deformed from round cross-section to something approaching oval.
Yes, it's very flexible and could be shaped/taped around an oval attachment easily.
Yes fb it does.
You can check the specifications on the HD website. Look in the description under "specifications"
I don't understand the picture provided with the question. I purchased flexible aluminum vent tubing. It worked great.
Its definitely a dryer vent hose.
Semi Rigid is suitable for venting bathroom exhaust fans, however, it you will be running the duct through an unconditioned space like an attic, I would strongly suggest pulling an insulated sleeve over the duct to avoid condensation forming on the duct. Alternately, insulated duct is equally as suitable to use rather than semi rigid duct.
I don't know why anyone would use insulated pipe for an exhaust fan duct. That is a waste of money and added effort. This flexible duct is much easier to use. If joining two sections, it is much easier to COMPLETELY pull the stretch out of the pipe at the ends. When still compressed, it is much more difficult to get end over the coupling. Use 5-inch band connectors. 4 1/8 is a little too tight.
Yes. That’s what I did
Yes, it can be used for bathroom exhaust fan.
I don't see why not. Heating flex duct is plastic film. This is aluminum. It is made to take the heat from a clothes dryer so is definitely made to take heat. It will sweat if used for A/C.
Hi Boat, no knowing the particulars of the marine heater being used, it’s difficult to provide an appropriate answer. Could you please call us to give us more details at 1 800 387 2578 ext 232.
I only use for Laundry Dryer. you may need to ask 'The Home Depot". Thanks, Parafino
Your question is outside my personal experience, however clothes dryer temperately produces air temperatures are just above 100゚, and a household furnace typically raises air temperatures 40 to 60゚ above ambient air. So I think the real issue is what is the temperature of the air coming out of your marine heater? The tubing this made out of aluminum, so it's not going to burn unless subjected to fairly high temperatures.
