Is this waterproof (will be used out on an uncovered balcony where it rains a lot)?
While this rug can be used outdoors and is easy to clean with a garden hose, it's not described as fully waterproof. It's made of 100% polypropylene, a material known for water resistance, but it's designed to absorb water. For the best longevity on an uncovered balcony exposed to a lot of rain, it might be a good idea to bring it inside during heavy downpours or consider a rug specifically designed for constant wet conditions.
My rug is fraying outside?
Do these rugs every straighten out and lie flat? Most of the pictures show a waviness and warpage. I have a couple that I am probably going to return because of this.

I have this rug but one side edge is fraying?

Is this good for heavy traffic areas with heavy shoe use?
It is on my outdoor patio and holding up great with weather and traffic. We/just wear sandals so don’t know about heavy shoes.
Do these rugs fade in the sun?

I'm going to be using this outside with southern exposure. Can I clean this with a garden hose? The manufacturer suggests spot cleaning but I'm hoping a rinse with the hose won't destroy the rug. Thanks-
Hello Leslie, Thank you for your inquiry! While this rug is able to absorb water (and can be cleaned with a garden hose), it will probably give the rug a longer shelf life if it is spot cleaned.
