What size thread does the aerator have. Went to several places to get a replacement ,but none could be found.
The thread size is 1/2".
I never found any that would fit other than having to order through home Depot....and yes, you have to order online , they do not stock them in the stores even though it is their store brand! Irritating, I will not by glacier Bay again for that reason.

Yes, turn left or clockwise. Get a 'key' wrench instead of the plain cylindrical wrench that usually comes with a new aerator; you'll get more leverage. If hard to turn use vinegar and baking soda with a tooth brush OR put vinegar in a small baggie
same reply. not good. advised to soak the existing aerator in warm vinegar to loosen any water deposits that may prevent removal.. I ordered it because the description was chrome. Neither tool nor aerator are chrome.
