This 27.8 cu. ft. GE Profile French Door Refrigerator in Slate with Keurig K-Cup uses 2 evaporators, creating separate climates in the fresh food compartment and in the freezer while keeping fresh and frozen foods at perfect humidity. Are there any less useful features than a cumbersome K-cup unit that could be included? Could it have an electric can opener, or a Seal-a-Meal mounted into the door instead?

Does GE make a handle that does not have some "Profile" on my handle? This is such a good-looking fridge, and then they slap that on it. Honestly is the reason I do not want to put in my new kitchen.

Can it dispense hot water only (for example if I don’t use a Kuerig cup)?
Hi there, good question! Profile Series refrigerators with the Keurig® K-Cup Brewing System do not have the Hot Water feature, like some Café models do. Hot water can only be dispensed with the brewer in place by holding down the Brew Dispense button for 3 seconds. Do not dispense hot water through the brewer without a K-Cup installed or leaking could occur. Hope this helps! Happy brewing. -Michael@GEA
Can the reusable K cups be used with this? the type where the user cleans after usage and refills with desired coffee or tea?

My current whirlpool keeps freezing my vegetables. Can’t seem to find a fridge that won’t do that. Is there a “freezing produce” issue with this model.
