Is it quick to drill through iron and steel?
Thank you for your question on the XDT18ZB impact drill. We recommend you use a driver drill instead of a impact drill. Like the XPH14 this drill has a 2-speed transmission (0-550 & 0-2,100 RPM) for drilling and fastening applications it also includes a Brushless Motor delivers 1,250 in.lbs. of Max Torque.
is this xdt151zb just as good as the xdt131z?

Yes, have owned 5 Makita 18v Impact drivers. I have not owned the xdt13z. I have two in use now that have more features the XDT 12Z and the XDT01 .TheXDT15 handles most jobs without tearing up screws or breaking them. I keep mine in my shop work bench. The others are in my truck.
Can you use it to router 1/2 inch OSB?

I have no concrete bits for an impact drill driver. I don't know if they even make them.

How do I turn the light on my sub compact impact driver
Hold the button with the hammer and screw down a few seconds to turn the light on or off when you squeze the trigger.
