What is that metal clasp on the top of the front opening with what appears to be 2 pins or rivets?
The metal rivets are for product reinforcement.

Does the flap have velcro to keep closed?

If the razor blade cuts the fabric. Then the plastic will be exposed on the inside but there will not be a Hole all the way though? Will the razor cut though the plastic?
Leaving a razor blade exposed within a tool pouch is the surest and quickest way to receive a serious cut or lose a finger. You should be more concerned about safety than whether or not an exposed razor blade will damage the tool pouch. If you properly contain the razor blade you'll never have to worry about damage to your pouch from the blade.
Can I store a sharp things in here like razor blade?
You certainly can, but I would advise you to also store some band aids, gauze, antiseptic and antibiotics along with the blades.
This product is built with a plastic material that keeps the product rigid. If the razor blade is exposed to the fabric, so it will cut the fabric, but the overall construction of the pouch will not be compromised.
Wish this was wider or round like tube. We would buy several of them. Need something you can dive...
