A:  Thanks for asking! There is a liner which will have to be peeled off to expose the sticky surface. If you'd like to discuss this further please connect with our team at 1.800.537.9514 M-F 8am-5pm CT.

A:  The trick is you have to stretch the tape to make it "sticky." It doesn't necessarily stick to other surfaces, but it bonds/fuses to itself to make a water-tight seal. The white mesh is only there to prevent it from fusing to itself until you use it. I have found that it doesn't really matter which side is "down" once you have stretched it, but I generally wrap with the mesh side "down" - I assume the mesh side is the "stickiest." As you stretch the tape, the mesh will automatically separate from the rubber. As it separates, simply remove and discard the mesh. The final wrap MUST overlap the previous wrap. When you get to the end of your wrap be sure to stretch it even to the very end so it will fuse together and not come apart. I like to use my thumbnail to press into the cut end of the tape to slightly stretch and press it into the tape below. If done correctly, in a very short time it will become like one solid piece of rubber. Once you "get the hang of it" you will never want to use the old vinyl tape again.

Great stuff / WAY better than regular electrical tape
I couldn't find this in a couple of local warehouses, but I'm glad it's online! This stuff beats regular electrical tape every single time!

This tape has no adhesive. Perhaps it will work if wrapped tight and against itself. It did not work for me.

This self sealing and healing tape is amazing. My local store no longer stocks it, yet for home repairs, project fabrication, it is truly versatile. As the saying goes, don't leave home without it. In the car, garage, or RV, if you are handy, there are countless things this tape can do and repair. A leaky radiator hose to get off the road or a leaking garden hose. Electrical cables and under ground repairs can be waterproofed, try it, and I challenge anyone to unwrap it once it bonds to its self. It cannot be done. Simply amazing what this tape can do.

I’ve used this Temflex splicing tape for a few years and I recenty puchased a few rolls to be sure I have it on hand when I need it as I was down to my last roll. I use the tape to seal coax from the weather and other elements.

Works extremely well for sealing coax cable connections to make them weatherproof. Much better than messy coax seal which is near impossible to remove.
