Product Overview

Clothes dryers are often installed in areas of homes where they cannot work effectively leading to long drying times, high energy use, and lint buildup in duct-work. If a dryers exhaust duct run is over 25 equivalent feet moist air cannot effectively exit the dryer and exhaust to the outside bogging down the entire drying process. If a dryers exhaust duct run is over 25 equivalent feet and the dryer is experiencing long drying time, your dryer may need a Dryer Duct Booster fan. The Dryer Duct Booster can also reduce the potential fire hazard associated with lint buildup.

I redid all the ducting in our attic. The fan install was the easiest part. Hands down.Amazing improvement in our drying times, as well. From 1+ hr, to now around 30 min.

Steady Red Light
I don't know how to rate it. Started with 1 star, and probably should have left it that way based on my experience. Just arrived today. I was impressed with the quality of the build. Seems very sturdy and well built to last. Instructions were clear. Installation was easy for me as I was out in open space with plenty of room to work. But it should be easy the way the support bracket is designed. Followed the instructions to the letter. Installed the status board in the laundry room above the dryer so it would be obvious to the user. Dryer was cold, empty with clean lint filters. Duct work was all new and clean. Plugged it in and it ran its calibration was advertised and ended with a solid red light. Not good. Referenced trouble-shooting in instructions which indicated this was caused by thermal fuze. Checked the fuze and it had continuity so the fuse is good. Called support but they close early on Fridays -- good for them -- bad for me. Went to Google and found a lot of reviews indicating this is a common problem. People either love it or hate it. I want the thing to work. Right now the dryer vents right into the garage, which is terrible -- especially now that summer heat is arriving. The only thing I can think of is that I don't need it. I'm right at the minimum limit for duct distance. If the manufacturer can't solve this, I'm returning it as defective and buying another brand, even though it might require more lint maintenance. This one is supposed to eat lint and spit it out the other side. Hoping the manufacturer has a quick solution.
